True. He was pretty creepy lookin'. Of course I'm not a wrestling fan so for all I know maybe he looks like that when he's not "acting."

Okay FF, explain something about this movie to me. What's with the house where the first killing takes place? Is that where the wacky mother with the mutant kid used to live before they moved to the mansion with the worm pit in the basement?

This movie reminded me of why I don't do Italian Giallo horror. Lots of long sequences where nothing much happens. I like Donald Pleasance and the chimp with the razor though.

That's the way I understood it, yea. There's a scene somewhere in the middle of the movie where the detective talks to "wacky mother" and she explains that she's only lived at her current address for eight months (or something to that effect) so I assume that means the first scene takes place eight months before the rest of the movie.

Of course, Argento doesn't do anything helpful like put up a title card that says "8 Months Later" after the first murder scene or anything... sheesh.

Reading reviews on Amazon, one person describes the Gingerdead Man as looking "frighteninly like a turd with a face". Now I really want to see it.

Believe it or not, There's actually a sequel to this movie! It's called "Gingerdead Man 2: The Passion of the Crust." I swear to Gawd. Look it up on IMDB if you don't believe me.

My wife took me to see District 9 as part of my birthday celebration. We didn't know anything about the movie except that it was supposed to be pretty good. As it turns out, it's not bad at all but the problem is that it's depressing as hell. As my wife said, we could have stayed home, saved money, and watched American History X and gotten the same emotions out of it.

Yeah, when I looked it up on Amazon I was astonished to see a sequel.

What I like is that the filmakers obviously don't take the end result as a serious horror movie.

The more I read about the movies we're watching, the more I think this thread should be renamed "Seen any really cheesy bad movies?"

I rewatched a classic tonight: Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Manhunter. The first film to feature Hannibal Lecture. Brian Cox plays Hannibal in this one, not Anthony Hopkins. The movie came out in '86, but was remade a few years ago as Red Dragon. Very good movie.

Great movie, has always been one of my favorites

Saw WOLVERINE over the weekend. Pretty cool. I liked it.

I'm watching a great one right now. A French movie called "Martyrs". I don't know what's getting into the French lately but this is about the 4th French horror movie in a row that has really hooked and disturbed me.
