| Has anyone heard of the great Australian hard rock band AIRBOURNE? Their a new band that have caused quite a stir amongst us hard rockers and music press down in Oz. It's only a matter of time til these guys become huge, they are probably the best live band in Australia at the moment packing them in to any pub they play at. They have supported the Rolling Stones and Motley Crue on their respective tours of Australia. They recently recorded their debut album 'Runnin' Wild' in Los Angeles and the album is expected to come out late June this year. If you like AC/DC, Rose Tattoo, The Angels (Angel City), Krokus etc. you would be doing yourself a favour by checking them out.

| I didn't know there was a problem with the OLD AC/DC Anyway, I did like what I heard from their myspace page, although it might be difficult for them to break-out and be the "Next Big Thing" when their sound is soooooo similiar to their heroes. They'll sell some cd's for sure, but they need to develope their own sound. After listening to them, I want to break out "Powerage" and listen to the masters. | |

| I just made that title up to grab your attentions, but the first thing you think of when you listen and see these guys is AC/DC. I mean its not a totally new sound but it ain't a rip on AC/DC either (theirs a few 80's metal guitarisms if you listen hard), I see it as a continuation of the boogie hard rock sound of Australia which started with AC/DC and continued through bands like Buster Brown, Rose Tattoo, The Angels (Angel City), Heaven, The Poor and now to Airbourne. And since their hasn't been a new AC/DC album for a few years this upcoming album by a young band like Airbourne might fulfill you til the legends get their asses in gear and release a new album. Plus their a force live even upstaging Motley when they supported them. | |

| I thought it sounded kick ass, yes there is the AC/DC vibe goin on. I agree it will be hard for them to break out of the AC/DC clone thing but hey you gotta try somehow! Wargod48 NP: Hellfueled - Memories In Black | |

| Their debut album Running Wild comes out June 23 in Australia, i'm not sure everywhere else. So you might have to get it on the net. If you like those singles you will definately like the album, i've heard it all live and i thought their were some better songs that could have been released as the singles even though the singles are great. | |

| Airbourne have signed a worldwide distribution of their debut album Runnin' Wild with Roadrunner Records, so that will make it easier to pick it up in the US. I gotta say Roadrunner Records is improving with its signings in the last couple of years with Megadeth, New York Dolls, The Cult, Dragonforce its starting to not look like the crap label that was an afront of all the things that were bad about new mainstream metal and getting back to the good old days of great bands King Diamond, Annihilator, Obituary, Sepultura etc. I will give a review of Airbourne's Runnin' Wild when it is released tomorrow. | |

Roadrunner has always had good bands on their label. The problem with the label is their treatment of bands and fans. But they've always had good bands on their roster. This is good news, of course. Roadrunner can't re-release things they sign distro deals with, right? |

| I'm not sure about Roadrunner re-releasing things they sign distro deals with but they would'nt need to re-release any Airbourne back catalog because their is none, only the debut they are releasing. | |

Yeah, I don't mind when a label reissues and older album, but Roadrunner are currently in the business of re-releasing new releases, essentially. For instance, Stone Sour's latest came out last August; in July, Roadrunner are re-releasing it with bonus tracks and two DVDs. In general, their re-releases have been really good, but it still sucks when you want to buy an album but know a better version will be re-released at some point. I still haven't bought the latest Killswitch Engage, Machine Head, or Black Label Society albums for this reason. I think the Killswitch one has already been re-released, though. Machine Head recorded bonus tracks for the new album; they wrote about it on their website, but none have shown up on any version yet. Their cover of "Battery" on the UK version is the same as that on the Kerrang! tribute to Master of Puppets CD. So where did those bonus tracks go? Obviously they'll show up on a re-release in the future. Weak. I'm not sure about the BLS CD now, though, since they're no longer on Roadrunner. Still, it sucks either way. And then I get pissed when I buy a Roadrunner release without thinking—like the new Dream Theater! Haha. Anyway...rant over. |

See, that's not so bad, though. It surely sucks if you own all the albums, but they're not re-releasing albums that are less than a year old, you know? Sometimes re-releases of old albums really suck because they're just remastered, with no bonus material, or weak bonus material. Remasters are great, but without worthwhile bonus material I'll just turn up the original. |

| I got Runnin' Wild the day it came out in Australia, and it is one of the best straight forward hard rock albums of the 00's. The album feels live and in your face, the music is definately in the vein of AC/DC, Rose Tattoo with a nod to classic 80's metal. I can't recommend this highly enough. Great music to blast in your car or to party to. 10/10 Tracklist 1. Stand Up For Rock N' Roll 2. Runnin' Wild 3. Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast 4. Diamond In The Rough 5. Fat City 6. Blackjack 7. What's Eatin' You 8. Girls In Black 9. Cheap Wine & Cheaper Women 10. Hearbreaker 11. Let's Ride | |
