Quiet Riot - Road Rage

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the release of Quiet Riot’s highly anticipated new studio album, “Road Rage” on April 21, 2017.

Famously known as the first heavy metal band to top the pop charts, the Los Angeles quartet became a global sensation thanks to their monstrous smash hit 1983 album, “Metal Health.” The band now continues their historic journey in 2017 with founding member and drummer Frankie Banali who, on this new release is joined by veteran bassist Chuck Wright (who has been in and out of QUIET RIOT since 1982) and guitarist Alex Grossi (who has been handling his duties since 2004,) together with new vocalist Seann Nicols.
“I’m very excited about the release of ‘Road Rage’ on Frontiers Music Srl, which is the first official QUIET RIOT release in eleven years. It contains all newly written and recorded original songs. We stayed true to the great tradition and sound of QUIET RIOT while at the same time always moving musically forward,” says founding member Frankie Banali.

Frankie Banali's history with QUIET RIOT spans over 34 years and he has the distinction of being the only member of QUIET RIOT to have recorded on every single QUIET RIOT release from 1983’s METAL HEALTH through 2017’s “Road Rage”. After nearly ten years since the loss of his friend and co-founding member and bandmate Kevin DuBrow, and with careful consideration, soul searching and with the blessings and support of Kevin DuBrow's family, Frankie has moved forward with the band to bring the fans “Road Rage.”

Interesting. I'm a casual QR fan at best, but I'll be curious to hear what they've come up with. The album cover's pretty neat.

First single released...'The Seeker' (not a Who cover)



Maybe something with a little more punch to it would've been a better choice as a debut single, but as it is, it's not half-bad. I could listen to this.

That's actually not a bad tune. I sort of wasn't expecting much but this song was a pleasant surprise. I'd like to hear more from it.

Me too, want to hear more. Not a bad tune but not really QR sounding at all.

I'll check out more but you're right, not really a QR sound there.

I've never thought Quiet Riot were great anyway. Some great tunes, but overall kind of meh. This song fits that bill.

It's ok, but hopefully there'll be more high-intensity songs on this album (think "Run For Cover" or "Scream and Shout").

Boring song. But i prefer to check out more samples before deciding.

As if QR wasn't enough of a s**t show already, the guy who sang on the about-to-be-released album is already gone, and his replacement is... onetime "American Idol" contestant James Durbin.

Durbin has a great voice, but...odd choice for this one. Or maybe not. Who knows? I'm sure he'll do a decent job on their five good songs.

The post-Dubrow era of the band is a complete joke.

What?!? So they are about to have a new release and the singer is already gone? Man. I enjoyed Scott the best and lost complete interest when he left. The digital only "10" release was abysmal to the point where Frankie pulled it from all download sites.

Maybe Frankie and Bobby Blotzer should join forces. Call it "Quiet Ratt." The highlight of every show would be a Banali vs. Blotz drum off.

Never heard of this until I read your comment. Gotta admit, doesn't sound bad at all. Low-quality recording for a professional band, but the songs, or at least the five that are on YouTube, are pretty good.

He's got a fantastic voice (not sure it fits Quiet Riot, though). He's just missing the quality musicianship to back it.

This James durbin is a very good singer. I had never heard of him before.
