If you haven't already checked them out, I would seriously recommend Slingblade. Just great heavy metal from Sweden. They have been mentioned a few times on here but not a lot of love which puzzles me! surprised

Blade Killer from L.A. They've got a Dianno-era Maiden sound going on. Their vocalist struggles sometimes on the higher stuff and he's much better when he tries a lower register. They are very young so I expect he'll only improve.

Midnite Hellion from NJ. Female fronted quality traditional metal. They have this 7" out and are working on more. They also have an earlier EP with a dude singer, but the new singer is much better than him.

Black Trip from Sweden. A couple of dudes from Enforcer are in it and they have a really cool Thin Lizzy vibe:

A Sound of Thunder - very cool female-fronted traditional metal.

Striker - Another Canadian band. They started out with more of a speed metal sound, but their last album was rock solid traditional metal.

NWOTHM is going strong still today like i can see. STRIKER are great, saw them live and they are amazing. The last SKULL FIST is also very very good.

All excellent recommendations!! There wasn't a single one I didn't like.

Blade Killer I have. Just got it about a month ago from Stormspell.

Black Trip, Skull Fist and Striker have both been on my radar for awhile now, just haven't pulled the trigger yet. I'm waiting for that Black Trip to get a US release. The import prices are ridiculous.

I'll be looking into the other ones as well. Unfortunately for my cheap ass, a lot of of these fall outta my price range.

Get Skull Fist asap. They truly are ahead of the pack, which is kind of impressive considering the overall high quality of other bands.
