TRIPTYKON - Celtic Frost Fans REJOICE!!!!

The great Thomas Gabriel Fischer has returned....debut album coming out this Tuesday! I listened to an advance copy of this and it's incredible, like a cross between Into The Pandemonium, To Mega Therion & Monotheist.

Read good thngs about this in Scream Magazine. An in-depth interview with th man was cool also. I never paid much attention to CF in the past though.

Always did like Celtic Frost.

I wonder why Tom didn't just keep the Celtic Frost name though?

I'll probably give this listen at the record store Wednesday (that's when I get my student loan). Never heard Monotheist, but I liked the samples I heard on the Triptykon myspace page.

No Martin, no CF, per Tom. And as it sounds like Martin and Tom reportedly can no longer stand the sight of each other, I think CF will be laid to rest permanently.

'Monotheist' is.....uh, monolithic. The trilogy is 'Morbid Tales', 'To Mega Therion', and 'Monotheist'. I relate to Tom a lot musically but 'ITP' is barely good, I don't care what he says.

Into The Pandemonium is a stroke of genius...despite what OCI says.

I will purchase, at cdjapan, the Japanese release which contains the bonus track, 'Shatter', written about in Tom's blog underneath a clearly misanthropic self portrait. Win.

I think me and Ult are probably the only ones here who actually like "Cold Lake" though. LOL.

It's not under-rated ... it's UNDER-under-rated.

I like Cold Lake as well.

Wow, I'm surprised at how many fans like "Cold Lake". I remember back when it first came out my friends were all mocking it! I was the only one in my town who liked it LOL.

It's a good album. Most people "looked" at Celtic Frost when they released Cold Lake instead of listening to them.

The Triptykon track I heard , A Thousand Lies was impressive. It definitely has a Monotheist feel to it.

That is exactly the truth!!!

They may have adopted a glam 'image', but their music was NOT glam metal at all!!! It was straight up METAL!!!

I've never heard Celtic Frost before, but is this really dark 'scary' music with crazy death metal vocals and lyrics about depression and darkness and stuff like that??

Into The Pandemonium is my favorite Frost record, and one of the best. DEATH TO THOSE WHO DISAGREE! I also enjoy Cold Lake, very good album despite the image.
