| [quote="Temple of Blood"]CANCER recorded "Painkiller"???? Don't you mean DEATH? That's not better than the original. The solos are far inferior, the drummer loses the timing on the intro, and the vocals are pitchy in the middle. You're so right. I just checked the tribute album. It's death. Anyway, i personally enjoy it far more then the original | |

Covers that I think are superior to the originals:
STEEL PROPHET - The Apparition SPIRAL ARCHITECT - Prelude to Ruin FATES WARNING - Saints in Hell FAITH FACTOR - American Metal BLACK SYMPHONY - Deliverance I think if Solitude had recorded their take on "The Apparition" it would have been the best thing since the original, overall though ,I would say Steel Prophet is really good at covers ,tributes, whatever you want to call them.I have that Queensryche tribute and I defintely agree the Black Symphony "Deliverance" is a great rendition........

BTO's version sucks.
Quiet Riot - Cum On Feel The Noize and Mama Weer All Crazee Now
Slade = Yuck. Speak the truth, brother. I would add the Priest version of Diamond's and Rust is excellent, especially live.

| Probably completely depends on your taste but I think Place Of Skulls took "Please Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" to someplace far beyond the original.....never heard the original but always liked Metallica's "Blitzkrieg"except the very end,was that done on the original version....... | |
