Those are movies that seem to get the tone of the comic series they are based on more correct than most comic based movies. Hellboy is more about style over depth and just plain fun and in this case that's just fine with me.

I love both as well and hope they're able to complete the trilogy (last I heard it's future was in doubt).

I like the Hellboy movies but they're not a patch on the original comics. The first movie was too Men In Black, the second too Harry Potter...they're cool but they lack the brooding atmosphere and the more deadpan wit of the comics.

I bought that Drive Thru flick you mentioned a while back. After you posted about it, I looked it up and found it for less than $5. I'm diggin' it; it's not supposed to be serious horror; I've found several chuckles in it already.

16 Blocks - thought it was okay. The twist at the end was alright. Held my interest all the way through.

Vio-lence documentary Blood and Dirt - Highly recommended. I don't know, I would have loved to see a Run-DMC/Vio-lence tour. Plus it's got a totally random section with female fans (I'm guessing more Machine Head than Vio-lence) lifting their shirts. Like they just decided the movie needed big breasts at that point. I appreciate that.

ROCKET SCIENCE.

Watched this lil' indie flick and it was so awesome. It's one of those low budget films set in NJ that have this unnatural tendency of sticking with you, ala Clerks or Welcome To The Doll House. Due to the fact that they deal with personal shortcomings -that we all can relate some way or another- thru humour.

The movie itself is about a teenage boy who stutters. He comes out of his shell thanks to a girl whom he ends up falling in love with, only to be let down afterwards. Yet the movie ends on a high note for the kid. A pseudo redemption for the boy.

Just watched "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa" (for the second time) with my son and niece. Got to see some of the bits I missed the first time. By the third or fourth viewing I should finally be able to say I've seen the whole movie!
