as i am reading your lists i am surprised how many bands are in bad shape.

Lordi, U2, Eagles, Hanoi Rocks, Warrant, Kiss, etc.

i'm a little bit disappointed.

If I don't like a band I just forget about them. There are plenty of those. But I don't bother hating them. If I lived or worked in an environment where I had to listen to other people's tastes against my will I would probably get pretty tired of certian bands though. I got deathly sick of the Beatles when I was a little kid, but that was 40 years ago and I've pretty much recovered. I still don't own a single Beatles album though.

That is the boat I am in with working at Albertsons. I have learned to hate Counting Crows, Madonna, boy bands, modern pop bands, young counrty, etc. Apart from that I don't focus on stuff I dislike (I also think hate is too strong a word). I'd rather focus my energy on bands I enjoy.

Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, and all of the NuMetal bands. The singer in Linking Parksings well, so he should just shut up and sing!! If I wanted to hear someone talk, I'd listen to talk radio and get caught up on current events. When I listen to music, I want to hear a melody, not some guy blabbering away. Any moron can talk!! Writing a great hook that stays in our heads is musical talent

When a metal band incorporates the influences of another musical genre, they should at least use a good genre. Usually, incorporating classical works the best. If a singer can carry a tune, why must they torture us with rapping?? A good singer doing this is just sad.

RHCP are okay. I own a couple of their albums but like others couldn't tell ya when I last spun 'em. I really like the first STP album, always have and always will. After that though, fuggedaboudit!

Echo. All though, Green Day has grown on me a little bit. I don't change the station if they come on.

Funny, I would say just the opposite. Mothers Milk gave them a taste - And they have been squeezing the cash cow ever since. Their first three funk-ulous and punk-tastic! And the Abbey Road ep is essential, just for Catholic School Girls Rule, if nothing else.
