I'm still waiting and without a social life I will have to wait some more. I want to try eHarmony eventually but right now it is too expensive. The only place I can meet anybody right now is work and church. Ufortunatly work romance doesn't work and our singles class has remained virtually the same for quite some time. Any attractive woman that has come to class has never made a return visit. There were two that I found attractive but one doesn't seem to have any interest and the other hasn't been in class in about three months (she serves in the music ministry which takes up all her time). I have faith that God will bring the "one" to me eventually but so far he hasn't.

I'm new in this Forum but I just want to say to the singles that they shouldn't desesperate.
The main problem is not to have or not to have a girlfriend I think. It's to be with the right person.
I had the other problem in the past, to much girlfriend but not the one I really wanted and I felt sad.
Be sure that you will find a girl, there is I think 2 girls for 1 man in the world. You should be unlucky to didn't find one.

I find my girlfriend by a stroke of luck, we met, have some wine, we spent some times together, we didn't have a lot of point in commun (she don't cared about metal). And now it's cool.

And a last advise if I can say that, don't try to find the same person has you. Be yourself and don't try to be someone else. You are a metalhead ok, but if you have a date, please try to wear a shirt instead of a Cannibal Corpse T-shirt which will gave you more chance

I could have written a book thanks to my history with girl, but we can maybe speak about the custom of country. Here in France it's maybe easier to shag a girl than in the US. We are maybe a little more open for sexual experience.

I hope you have understood what I wrote, it's not easy for me to explain my feeling in English

Being a metal fan puts you in a catch 22 situation when it comes to the ladies. If you totally follow the metal lifestyle beyond music and I mean clothes long hair etc you are only ever gonna attract another metal chick. I am constantly amazed when I go to concerts at the state of some metal fans, long hair that looks like it could do with several washes and stupid facial hair and band only t shirts. Now I don't wanna dis every metal fan as I know plenty of guys with long hair and stuff but they look after themselves and seem well groomed. The normal metal look will only attract metal chicks and these are a rarity. I have only ever met girls into metal who already have boyfriends.

My other half is not into metal in any way. I have short hair, wear a suit to work and hang in pubs/bars that don't always have anything to do with metal. Much better places to get laid/meet partners.

You can love metal, attend concerts and festivals and enjoy the metal lifestyle just don't let it consume you otherwise you will limit the type of woman who will find you attractive

That would be an excellent start Thrasher! My next piece of advice would be to decide what he truly wants. Sounds like he just wants some sex. Nothing wrong with that, he just doesn't need a girlfriend to get it. Just be safe and smart about it.

Well i was very shy until i seen how my friends handled woman and were just themselves. Dont set your standards really high, approach and just say what's up. If the woman responds with another question like "hey how are you?" thats your Q to start a conversation off of the question.

This has worked to build confidence and to let woman know that you aren't afraid to speak to them. Don't be scared and remember what's the harm in asking a girl for her number? Would you rather have asked and been told no thanks or no, then to just wonder what she would say.

Like i said pick someone that you might know a little better not a complete stranger and talk to her. Flirt with her crack jokes and make sarcastic hints that seem sarcastic but really are what you are feeling.
