I love putting the ipod on random and letting it go. This morning's car ride went along these lines, Gang Starr to Pestilence to Cinderella to Peter Murphy to Hirax to Bim Skala Bim. There was also Michael Penn and 3 Inches Of Blood in there as well.

I'll listen to anything really.

I suppose you could say my tastes in music are pretty eclectic. My main listening habits vary from extreme metal to alt rock to indie to folk to electronica, with a little bit of jazz and classical in between. I even listen to a little bit of alternative hip-hop/rap. The only thing I really don't listen to is country. Saying that, I still have many bands and composers to discover!

i listen to a variety of stuff from metal, hard rock, classic rock, krautrock, space rock, big band, some classical, prog rock and metal and some pagan metal. I tend to mix stuff ranging from agitation free to glenn miller to Ensiferum..

When I was younger it was only really heavy music, as I have gotten older I will listen to a more diverse range of music. I don't really listen to too much of the growling type bands anymore, I prefer songs with more of a groove like Circus of Power, Kings of the Sun, Social Distortion, AC/DC, KISS, Molly Hatchet, Judas Priest, and Maiden etc. etc. etc. Some country shows up on rare occasions (I don't hate it like I used to) and love the really rockin' blues like SRV. Classical... in very small doses is ok but I absolutely hate rap and hip hop and all that bubble gum crap like Fergi, it doesn't speak to me at all.

A quick sample of my collection includes:
AC/DC
Adam and the Ants
Add N to X
America
Anthrax
Atomic Bitchwax
Atomic Rooster
Asia...

and thats just a small sample of the A's of the top of my head!

I think within my almost 4,000 CD's, I tend to have a pretty eclectic mix. As long as the music is good, I listen to it. And, yes, I have my gulty little pleasures. music from the 50 until today, new wave, punk, metal, classic rock, rock in Spanish, latin music, classical, jazz, blue grass, singers & songwriters, ska, rockabilly, swing, on and on an on. What I don't have is much top 40 crap, crappy new nashville type Country (only like the old stuff like Cash, Cline, Nelson, etc). I hate NuMetal and can't stand alot of the newer r & b (although I love the older Mowtown) and most modern rap (again, I like the old skool). I'm sure I left out a bunch of genres.

Yes another Planet P Project fan!!!!, my list of A section of my collection is a small sampling of just 'A', this is interesting to see random selection from everyone's personal CD collection.

Very cool CD's Toho and Spec, I also can see from the lists nobody so far just listens to only metal.
