NFL 2008 discussion thread

The Eagles barely won that game against the Vikings, only that screen pass to Westbrook saved them. I still think they are suspect.

NOBODY has been able to shut down Fitzgerald.

The Eagles are traveling across the country, the Cardinals have a LOUD stadium and a fanbase that hasn't had a winning playoff team in over 60 years. Plus they are the underdogs so don't be surprised if they play with a chip on their shoulder. Their run defense has been stout, they completely shut down both the Falcons and the Panthers...the only offensive player Philly has is Westbrook.

I think it will be a hard fought game for sure, but I wouldn't be so completely sure that the Eagles are going to blow them out.

I like this hiring.

The Cardinals are playing great football. The Eagles own kurt Warner and Jim Johnson will come up with great schemes to make his day miserable. I look for the eagles to try and put the game away early to take the crowd out of it. I still find it funny that people think Westbrook is the only offensive player they have? Mcnabb is a Hall of Fame franchise quarterback. Desean Jackson is a superstar in the making and there is not one cardinal who can cover him. Look for a throw happy offense in the eagles this game.

Cardinals are really handing it to the Eagles, im a bit surprised. I still dont think the game is over by any means though.

YEAH!!! I had a feeling....

Sweet!! I've been pulling for the Cards all year (4 of my Fantasy Football starters were Cards) so I'm happy. I also really like Kurt Warner. Good for him.

Im bummed but my Birds had a great run. What a comeback!! Hopefully Mcnabb is back in Philly next year without him we really fall out of any sort of contention for another SB run..

Good for the Cards! I think that win (regardless of what happens in the super bowl) will put Warner in the hall of fame. He deserves it!!!!!

He was already in the Hall of Fame before that win, not too often you get to see 2 future HOF playing in the same game. Mcnabb will get there on stats alone. If Aikman can be in then so can Mcnabb. Although Aikman has won a few SB but his stats are terrible.

Most years I would watch all the pre-SB broadcasts, hype and stuff...this year I haven't paid attention to any of it. Don't want to hear about it till kickoff.

YES ! I for one am very happy ! Great game ! The Cards played a good game but couldn't stop the Steelers in the end. I'd love to go the Victory Parade (I'm only about 15 minutes from downtown) but work calls and I missed yesterday (too much celebrating Sunday night!)
