Once agin the time has almost arrived for the three headliners of the United Kingdoms premier heavy metal festival and if any of the rumours are true it is shaping up to be the best one yet

the three bands rumuored to get headline slots are as follows:

Monsters of Rock Speculation

I Thought it might be worthwhile to add a Monsters of Rock section. I think if it is indeed being run by Stuart Galbraith (for all the nOObs, he's the former MD of Livenation and (former) main man behind Download), the chances are he'll try and get an exclusivity deal with the main bands, or at least so that they can't also play Download.
Possible bands for MoR ... could be playing at either Download or MoR, probably not both

At the moment, I'm not really planning to go because Download is silly expensive. I should be hitting Bloodstock this year though, which has a great lineup so far.

yeah its silly expensive buts it the one great rock pilgrimage left in the uk almost as Donington Park is the ground zero of rock

more interestinglt though is the rumour that there will be another monsters of rock this year with ac/dc and Ratt headlining! in hyde park

of course they are doing another Hyde Park calling Festival with either eric clapton or paul mcCartney headlining which is not so interesting

KISS WILL PLAY DONNINGTON FRIDAY NIGHT

according to an apparent leak from Kerrang the headliners will be Lostprophets (eRRR), the Offspring (ERRRRRR) and the mighty KISS

apparently judas priest and Him are also confirmed

it is officially announced at midnight tonoght so i will check back tomorrow with the announcements

the first bands announced are lost prophets, offspring, him and JUDAS PRIESt

with another at 7.30 tomoorow which we think is kiss

Lost Prophets? They are an abomination to the mighty entity that is Wales. The Offspring, HIM and Priest isn't too bad though.

...still, probably not going.

also announced today was the mighty MOTORHEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the crappy rise against

i am very happy with the lineup now

Dude, you NEED to see KISS and Judas Priest.

And Motorhead are playing too? Everyone should be required by law to see Motorhead at least once before they die. Or Lemmy dies. Whichever comes first. (though sometimes I think that Lemmy will outlive us all.)

Doesn't matter to me! I saw them and it was one of the greatest nights of my life! To me it's not so important that Peter and Ace aren't there. Yes it would be nice if they were there but Eric and Tommy did brilliantly and the show itself was fantastic and put everyone else who was playing the same day to shame!
