I started with Hall Of Flames, a best of disc. I'd suggest that one. My favorite is Mandrake. Hellfire Club is a great album.I need to pick up Mandrake.

In my opinion you should start with "Hellfire Club", as that is one of my all time favourite albums. Furthermore it depends on if you would like to hear the band going in more melodic directions ("Rocket Ride" or "Tinnitus Sanctus") or if you want to hear their more bombastic and epic sound ("Vain Glory Opera" or "Theater Of Salvation"). I think both "sides" of the band is great.

| I think need to start with what Ult said people have accused early Edguy of being, a Helloween clone. | |

But it does give newbies a good sample of their albums (albeit the ones before Hellfire Club). It certainly made a fan out of me. Before I only knew Avantasia Pt. 2.

| I've given this one 2-3 spins and it's good. Not great, but good. They've gone away from Euro Powermetal almost completely, and instead offer solid hard rock/heavy metal. | |

| I used to order a lot from him, but the prices went up and up recently and I also was getting way too many digi packs, which I love aethetically, but don't hold up to wear and tear very well. | |

Man, what a great album! I know people dislike the rock version of Edguy, with all the hooks and stuff, but I love it! From Hellfire Club on, this band has been gold! |

| If my copy is a bootleg, this guy needs to go into the CD manufacturing business. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

But he is in that business. The bootleg of today is not like it used to be. |

Been watching that guy for years. He's got other accounts, too, under different names. He sells albums with bonus tracks that were never official bonus tracks. He's a bootlegger. I'm sure if you compared his CDs to the official CDs, you'd see the difference. |

Do you have any examples? Take a look at his other accounts, check out the feedback. You'll see that he gets bulk feedback from other "buyers." Check their feedback, and they're getting the same. This is how these people rack up 2,000 positive feedbacks in a month. They create dummy auctions that someone immiediately buys out. It's like an eBay crime ring. |

| Ive seen that. Ive seen that with a lot of other people too but I really dont think his cds are bootlegs. I would have to see a side by side comparisson with 2 of the same cds. What would a bootleg have or not have to make me notice that its not real? _________________ | |

The paper isn't as thick a stock, you can see ink lines on the CD from where the rollers went over it, and the ink on the CD and in the booklet isn't as bright and crisp, same with the text. And then you can often check the CD manufacturer info itself, and it'll often point back to well-known bootlegger favorites like Sonopress. |

The paper used for the booklet in my copy is so thick that the damn thing keeps falling out of the slot. It also came with an insert for other Nuclear Blast releases included inside the shrinkwrap. Doesn't sound like a bootleg to me. The guy may sell bootlegs elsewhere but I'm pretty sure my copy of this album is legit. That said, since I think the album sucks, I don't really care either way. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I still think Tinnitus is a bit of a let down. There are some great songs on their, no doubt, but I think it lulls a lot in the middle and most of the end. It starts off so promisingly but doesn't quite deliver to my ears. However, I did catch them on the UK leg of the tour (with Andre Matos supporting, which was an amazing choice) and the new album did come off very well live. Opening with 'Dead or Rock' was a great call. _________________ | |

I agree. After Pride Of Creation (which is really the only song I remember, despite it's silly lyrics), I can't remember a damn thing from this album. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.
