Scott, you are cool guy but I respectfully disagree, being merry is not about being fashionable, it is how you are born. I respect your faith and point of view but I think the acceptance of homosexuals and being fashionable are miles apart.

As for as the AIDS comment troublezone I don't believe that is God's judgement on homosexuality if it was than lesbians must be God's choosen people since statistically than are less affected by AIDS by any social group of people in society.

It is not, it is a virus. They recently discovered that AIDS has been around as long as the early 1900's. they just didn;t know what it was and it wasn't a pandemic at the time - they just thought people died from other causes (i.e. something else kills you, the hiv just weakens your immune system to the point that something else kills you).

As far as it being God's judgement, the new testmant is about God's love and grace and opposed to God's judgement. Might as well start saying that the HPV virus is God's judgement too for man-woman couple sleeping around and that only kills women (leads to cervical cancer) and that virus is so prevelant these days that they had to create a vaccine to protect girls from it. And, for the record my daughter will be getting that shot, but not as an excuse to sleep around! Remember what Eddie Murphy said back in the day - "what's next, you put your d*** in and it explodes?"

Straight people partake in the activity of butt sex quite often. Some women absolutely love it. Trust me, I find it to be pretty gross myself, but it never souned like a bad idea while drunk. Haha.

I honestly don't think God cares what a married couple does in their bed (kitchen, car, bathroom, etc). They may be into something I am not, but aside from bringing a third party into the action, I really don't think he looks down at a married couple having anal sex or tieing each other up in leather, etc.

Kind of reminds me of a comment I heard once about how awful it was that some husband in the church wanted his wife to "give him oral sex" (from a woman in the church). Christians need to what what they call a "biblical intention of sex" - don't even get me started on a "biblical" this and that, I've just been reading the sgm survivors site and will get on a roll!

Fudge packing aside i just don't think gays should have the title of marriage because imo it's for a man and woman only. The reason i believe for a man and woman only is because it's the natural order of things on account that it takes a man and woman to make a life and there was a reason for the creation of two sexes. Anything outside of that is a lust issue.

What about in certain African and Middle Eastern countries where homosexuality is punished by the death penalty......do you think homosexuals in those countries risk life and limb just to be different and fashionable?

What about the many young homosexual men from small rural towns who eventually commit suicide because of the constant daily abuse and rejection they receive in those tight knit communities?

While there is no doubt some cultural influence (although very minimal imo), homosexual and bisexual behavior is a natural thing and part of the constant evolution of species. Homosexual and Bisexual behavior is not something unique to human beings, it affects all facets of the animal kingdom. From Chimpanzees to Penguins to Fruit Flies. Homosexuality in Fruit Flies has actually been proven to be genetic (which can rule out cultural factors, not that i think fruit flies have much of culture). All this no doubt has connotations for human beings.
