I have seen the band twice with Dio once with Ozzy and once with Ian Gillan. They were all great shows and I didn't feel cheated out of any songs from any of the set lists. I do feel that Dio does his songs best and I don't dislike any of the tunes he has done and they more than fill a great setlist with out going back into Ozzy era tunes. Same thing with Ozzy, I don't really think he could do Sign of The Southern Cross or Mob Rules justice but he is great at what he does
i call them BS too.. its all a technicality anyways.. I bet the new cd will get filed under Black Sabbath Alex _________________

| The first time I knew they changed the name of Black Sabbath for the Dio tours I was thinkin' it was a new band callin' themselves "Heaven&Hell" It doesn't bore me if it's just on tour, but if a new Black Sabbath album shall appear with Dio I don't want to see "Heaven&Hell" on the CD !! :kickbutt: | |

Yes, it's supposed to come out sometime this spring. Here's what Dio said about the new album: "It sounds great," Ronnie said of the self-produced set which he co-wrote with Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler during sessions in Los Angeles and England. "It's a real cross-section of everything we've done, from 'Heaven and Hell' through 'Mob Rules' and 'Dehumanizer'. I think there's a lot of 'Dehumanizer' in it, but a lot of other things, too, a real good blend of what this band has represented." |

| Here is some Dio related news: Vocalist Ronnie James Dio is featured on two songs on the forthcoming album by The Rods, the classic '80s metal band led by Dio's cousin, guitarist David "Rock" Feinstein. Singer Shmoulik Avigal (Jack Starr, Picture), who previously sang on The Rods' "Heavier Than Thou" album, co-produced the CD in 2006. He said of his latest collaboration with The Rods, "It was a hard and satisfying work. We had Ronnie James Dio as a guest singer on two songs. 'The Code' and 'Metal Will Never Die.' I had some good times working with the guys again."
The Rods' new album, titled "Vengeance," is tentatively expected later in the year.
The original lineup of The Rods has been confirmed for the Headbangers Open Air festival, set to take place July 23rd-25th, 2009 in in Brande-Hörnerkirchen, Germany.
The Rods' lineup for the Headbangers Open Air appearance will include Feinstein on guitar/vocals, Gary Bardonaro on bass and Carl Canedy on drums.

| Official Press Release:
HEAVEN & HELL SET TO REVEAL THE DEVIL YOU KNOWHighly Anticipated New Album From Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice To Be Released April 28 From Rhino
LOS ANGELES --Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice returned to the stage after 15 years in 2007, launching a triumphant world tour as Heaven & Hell. Revitalized and inspired by its time on the road, the quartet recently returned to the studio, recording the band's first album since 1992's Dehumanizer. The highly anticipated album, THE DEVIL YOU KNOW, will be available from Rhino on April 28. "Everyone had so much fun playing together that we didn't want it to end," says the group. "We started writing together and the songs started flowing like we never stopped. We wound up writing and recording an album that stands up to anything we've ever done. We're really proud of the music and excited for people to hear it."
The dark tone heard on THE DEVIL YOU KNOW is clear from several of the album's song titles, such as "Bible Black," "Rock & Roll Angel," "Breaking Into Heaven," "Atom & Evil" and "Eating The Cannibals."
The seeds of the new album were planted in 2006, when Dio, Iommi, Butler and Appice returned to the studio to record a trio of new songs for Black Sabbath: The Dio Years, a recent compilation of essential tracks taken from the quartet's four albums together. Soon after, the band launched a run of sold-out shows around the world, electrifying audiences with its malevolent metal fury.
