Music That Brings The Mood Up

I've been down in the dumps as of late, and the only thing that seems to hit the spot is some Live malmsteen and some savatage, anyone here have some good ole metal that alwase lightens the mood?

Mortification, Priest, Narnia, stuff like that usually hits the spot. My favorite genre is goth and doom, but I usually try and avoid that if I'm really down, unless I'm inclined to wallow in despair!

This record usually brings a smile to my face in whatever mood i'm in.

Believe it or not, Celtic Frost's "Cold Lake". I think it's hilarious and that it rocks as well. Luckily it was my introduction to the band, so I wasn't offended by it like the real frosties were. Of course I've come to like their serious music as well since.

Some good, old-fashioned Queen does it for me. Usually songs like The Seven Seas Of Rhye and Fat-Bottomed Girls.

Queen is a good suggestion. I'd also go with some Andrew W. K. and Keepers era Helloween.

Anything by the Ramones usually works for me.

Any of the upbeat so-called "happy" Powermetal does the trick for me. Of course, some people don't like that kind of metal.

All the speedy party Thrash do the trick as well.

Quiet Riot - Metal Health - Man, if that album does get the spirit up.

RIOT's first trilogy of albums; Rock City, Narita & Fire Down Under, all featuring Guy Speranza (RIP) on vocals, always cheers me up.

stuff like Priest, Doro, Maiden, Accept, Scorpions, Motorhead, Dio & early Manowar. the traditional stuff usually picks me up.

Listen to Helloween's "Dreambound" off of Gambling With The Devil.

Anything that you can sing along to like Vanhalen, Queen, or ELO. I have always found that classic Deep Purple and Whitesnake do it for me. Must be something about Coverdale's voice. Peace.

Any band that busts out a fiddle solo at the Reading Festival during the height of the NWOBHM is clearly trying to have a good time.

I think I miss Noddy more than any other personality/frontman in history. It's impossible to stay in a bad mood listening to live Slade.
