| Maiden are my favourite band simply because I have consistantly liked every album this band has released, albeit some more than others. For me this is the weakest of all Maiden albums. Considering the pedigree of albums that came before it, to me this was a noticable drop in quality. Nothing terrible just nothing really great. Still it does have a few good songs and I still rate this album way above a lot of other metal albums just amongst Maidens rich cataloge the worst. Still a solid 7.5 out of 10 for me. | |

| Yes, it IS a great album! AND it is certainly better and rocks way more than the "Progressive" here - comes - yet - another - long -intro silliness they seem content with nowadays. However that is not the general conscience but whatever |

Definitely. I'd take fast-paced stuff like Tailgunner and Holy Smoke over songs like Brighter Than A Thousand Suns and others in that vein |

| Maiden never does anything that is not good but this is probably their worst album but still very good. |

| I like it, like just all of Maiden's, but nothing special too in my opinion... |

| This is a time and place album for me. When it came out there was no way I wasn't going to love it. It was new Iron Maiden! Today this is my least played Maiden album - but I still find a lot to really like about it. | |

| Been listening to Tattooed Millionaire today and i like it way better than NPFTD. If i'm not mistaken they were both released the same year (1990). | |

| i remember i bought this in 90 right around the same time as a bunch of other big releases (Rust in Peace, Seasons in the Abyss, and Persistence of Time come to mind...i think they were all released within a 2 or 3 month span). At the time, being such a huge Maiden fan, I considered NPftD the best of the four. Looking back, I don't know what I was thinking. It still has some quality songs (title track and Run Silent, Run Deep are standouts to me), but now it's one of the least listened to in my Maiden catalog. | |
