| IMo this 1990 album by Iron Maiden is one of the most overlooked in their catalogue. Perphaps due to the return to a traditional sound after the flirtation with synthesisiers on 1986's Somewhere in Time and 1988's Seventh son of a seventh son. I actually feel there is some top quality tunes on here and while i would not rank ot as their best Imo it can hold its own in the maiden catalogue what do others think of it Ps: i searched for others threads on this album and found none so forgive me if there actually is already | |

| NO PRAYER is not their best album, but it's not their worst either. It just kinda "sits there" if you know what I mean, other than a few tracks.
"Tailgunner" is a decent song, even though it's basically "Aces High Part II"
I prefer Dickinson's solo version of "Bring Your Daughter...To The Slaughter" (which came first) over the Maiden version. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

I understand Bruce was never crazy about the idea because then his original version was "suppressed" (quoting him directly there) but then supposedly the Maiden version knocked Cliff Richard out of the #1 spot on the British charts when it was released as a single. After being "lost" for many years, Bruce's original version can be found on the second disc of his BEST OF BRUCE DICKINSON 2-CD collection if you're curious _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| It is a good album, not their best but I like it and listen to it from time. Is there any bad Maiden album? I don't think so. My favorite titles are: Tailgunner, Holy Smoke, The Assassin and Bring your Daughter... | |

There's an interview w/Bruce on the second disc of his BEST OF where he mentions with much pride that it did indeed knock Cliff Richard off the charts. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| I have fond memories of that album when my buddies and I would get a shore house for the week and that cd got lotsa spins. I tend to listen to that album quite a bit, even if it is for nostalgic reasons. | |

"Hooks In You" is one of the worst Iron Maiden songs ever. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| i would call it the least known bruce dickinson album becuase people only talk about the great maiden albums and then how bad fear of the dark supposedly is but NPFTD also gets left out as it were IMO | |

| I like FEAR OF THE DARK better than NO PRAYER for the most part. But then both of those albums tend to be overlooked because Metal itself was falling off the pop culture radar at the time they were released. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"
