Yea. If you read his book, he talked about it. Back in the day, his drug and alcohol consumption caused an irregular heartbeat and he had one implanted to shock it back into place when necessary.
My father on the other hand, had a minor heart attack a few years ago caused by too much bacon and butter consumption.

Yeah alcohol really messes with the heart and drugs even more so no surprise there.
Glad your dad's okay and in better health these days. Bacon and butter be good shit, tough to stay away.
