MOTORHEAD!

Can never seem to get enough of MOTORHEAD! Jammin' their latest 'Kiss of Death' right now. What a great CD.

What are your favorite Motorhead CDs?

Which line-up do you prefer?

My favorite is Bomber! By the way, Motorhead were confirmed for Metalcamp festival today!

Favourite line up:
Lemmy, Philty, Fast Eddie

"No Remorse" on cassette was my first exposure to Lemmy and the boys, so even though it's a compilation, it will always be a favorite of mine.

"1916" was the very 1st Motorhead release I purchased on cd, so that too will always be a "go-to" disc.

As far as line-ups however, how can you go wrong with 3 guys named Lemmy, Philthy and Fast Eddie? Any release with those guys is a classic.

Again i have to say that i love all MOTORHEAD eras. From the early days i think OVERKILL is my fave. From the second era ANOTHER PERFECT DAY must be my fave (I GOT MINE, ONE TRACK MIND(the best) and SHINE are great songs. Also ORGASMATRON is one of my fave.
From the third era i would say BASTARDS.
And from the last era i would say INFERNO.
Anyway, i love all MOTORHEAD albums.

my fave is probably Sacrifice, although Overkill is probably right behind it. i prefer the current line up with phil & mickey

Fav Line-up is the current one... Mikkey Dee is one hell of a drummer

Wow! It's rare to meet someone else who doesn't pick the Phil/Clarke/Kilmister line-up. I'm with you though. I think the Campbell/Dee/Kilmister line-up is awesome. They've consistently released good material. "Sacrifice" is a great choice as well.

Motörhead is like Pizza. There is no bad Motörhead disc, they are all good, some are better. I've all official releases and love them all.

any line up with Lemmy is good for me... The guy simply is hysterical... Saw 'em last when they opened for Maiden and Dio (who were simply awful!!). 'head were their greasy grungy selves... SIMPLY FANTASTIC... To my chagrin I only own the 40 song best of that sanctuary put out... that to was fantastic... "killed by death" what a song title !

Dio was awful?

How do you only play the first verse of 'Stand up and Shout' and then launch into a 7-10 minuted version of 'Stargazer'. They were wretched and Craig Goldie.....

2 very good albums, but you are truely missing out on a whole lot. you would be wise to invest in some more of their material. it would be kind of like rewarding yourself for having great taste in music

Lemmy, Fast Eddie, and Philthy Animal is the best lineup. My favorite albums are Overkill, Ace of Spades, and Iron Fist. Bomber is good, too.

I've always been a casual fan of Motorhead. I used to have a best of CD and one of their later albums and listened to it every now and then. When I got rid of my CDs when I became a Christian I grew away from Motorhead. Last week I was at a used music store and saw Ace Of Spades (remastered), knowing that it is a must have classic I got it. Listened to it last night at work and all I can say is !!!!!! I mean I heard Ace Of Spades, Emergency, and Love Me Like a Reptile before but I forgot how awesome those songs are and the rest of the album was the same. Now I know that I MUST get more Motorhead, and I am slapping myself upside the head for waiting this long. In one night I've gone from casual fan to fanatic. Any suggestions (aside from Overkill, I know that is a must have)?

Inferno is my favourite album by them, and Kiss of Death a close second, those melt my brain!

That said, I really need to pump up the Motorhead section of my CD rack. I've had some of their older stuff (NO REMORSE, ACE OF SPADES, 1916, etc.) on cassette in the past but never got round to upgrading them to CD when they crapped out. The only Motorhead CDs I have right now are a couple of the more recent ones -- INFERNO, KISS OF DEATH and WE ARE MOTORHEAD. Guess I should go cruisin' the used bins for some Lemmy sometime soon.

1916 would be my favorite if I was forced to choose. But really, I love them all.

Never cared much for Motorhead.
