Dunno why so many people seem to hate RAM IT DOWN so much by the way... when I first heard it I personally went "Phew!" cuz it was a relief to hear that the TURBO record wasn't a permanent change in direction! There's some good heavy stuff on the RAM IT DOWN album... and they were great when I saw'em on that tour too... totally agree... only I didn't see'em on that tour.... .....

It was a great show. They opened with "The Hellion/Electric Eye" so I thought I'd traveled back to 1982 for a while there. The only thing I was bummed about was that they didn't do "Blood Red Skies" from RAM IT DOWN... I thought that would've been a great set opener!! The opening band, oddly enough, was Cinderella (!) which was kind of a weird combo to say the least... I liked Cinderella at the time (still do as a matter of fact) but they were the WRONG band to be opening for Judas Priest!! Needless to say, the crowd did not exactly welcome them with open arms.

| I bet... I liked Cinderella too... Saw them with Badlands and someone else but can't remember. End of tour I believe for the 2nd record. | |

| It was kind of weird hearing Rob Halford ask the crowd "Are you enjoying a night of HEAVY METAL with JUDAS PRIEST and CINDERELLA?" | |

| It's not horrible, but it is Judas Priest at their most commercial and bland. 'Parental Guidance' is cheesy fun, and I love 'Turbo Lover' and 'Locked In'. Those are my only personal highlights from the album. | |

| I really like turbo. This album reminds me of some good times, maybe that's why I like it so much. While turbo represented instrumental experimentation I think they maintained their sound. There is no mistaking that it is a Judus Priest album. As far as song writing, well priest has had some high and low points on almost all their albums (excluding the awesome screaming for vengence). | |

| Albums like TURBO, PACK IS BACK, PINK BUBBLES GO APE, COLD LAKE, etc. just prove that our metal heroes are human and that even they can't hit one out of the park every time | |

| Turbo sucks. Ram it Down is hit or miss. One or two classics (the title track is one of the best Priest songs ever), some good songs, and some Turbo leftovers. Five of the first six songs are good (Love Zone is the suckfest), but the last four songs suck. | |

| Turbo is still one I would bypass... I bought screaming in 82 and their back catalog at that point. When turbo came out 'Master of Puppets' was spinning on my turn table along with 'Spreading the Disease'.... I just felt a bit let down... 'Somewhere in Time' has synths but I didn't see 'sell out' when I listened to 'Alexander the Great' or the title track.... It was just disappointing to hear 'turbo' at that time... If I wanted pop metal I woulda bought ratt..... | |

| I really think this album is unjustly shafted. I am watching the Priest Live DVD now and Priest were at the top of their game in 86. Turbo had some GREAT songs on it. Out in The Cold, Locked In, Reckless, etc. Sure it had some duds, but really who likes half of British Steel? Dont Have to be Old To Be Wise anyone? All Priest albums have their faults. If anyone should beat up a Priest album it should be Ram It Down and its synthetic guitars AND drums. |

But don't you think Iron Maiden was influenced the same way with the Somewhere In Time album during the same time? Of course, not to the same extreme as Priest. |

| I like that album, easy listening, but compared to other works from Priest........ well, Turbo surely takes a back seat as an album. And Fat Freddy, with regards to Ram it Down, I like that one very much! | |

Right on brother! Never understood how RAM IT DOWN came to be the "forgotten" Priest album...

Yeah, that could be true. ELIMINATOR and AFTERBURNER have sometimes a sound/production like TURBO. Those are two albums i love by ZZ TOP thats why i have also nothing against TURBO.

| probably priests worst album. some good songs but generally not great. the production is awful. even halford doesn't sound at his best. he had a bit of a meltdown around that time tho so we should cut him some slack | |

| Priest's worst album with the exception of Out in the Cold and Reckless. Reckless is a great and forgotten Priest classic. The song Turo Lover is cringe inducing it is so cheesy. | |

Over the years my friends and I have argued long and hard over what are the best and worst Priest songs, and "Wild Nights, Hot & Crazy Days" usually tops the "worst" list. Although I think I hate "Hot For Love" (ugh!) from TURBO even MORE than "Wild Nights..."
