| I've never gone beyond Night At The Opera or Queen II, other than those, I thought they were more of a Greatest hits band. What are some other of their albums that are really excellent? | |

Queen I is an excellent debut. Sheer Heart Attack is also great. News of the World is probably my favorite of all the Queen discs and not just for We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions. Jazz is awesome. A Day At the Races is good, but I haven't got into it as much as the others yet. The Game is awesome, but full of hit singles if your not into that sort of thing Innuendo is a return to hard rocking form. Hot Space, The Miracle, Made in Heaven, Flash, The Works all have there moments. A Kind of Magic is the soundtrack to the movie Highlander and it's got some great songs on it Live Killers is a great live album, '70s era Live at Wembley '86 is a great live album also, '80s era. I don't know if any of this helps since it's all opinion.

| I like 'em, 70's era up to Flash Gordon Soundtrack - nostolga is a powerful tool. Flash Gordon is one of my all time favorite cult movies and I love the soundtrack, even though it's mostly instrumental mood music. I used to listen to it over an over in 7th grade! | |

| When people mention Freddie Mercury, they always mention his vocals. His piano playing is criminally underrated. He's an awesome pianist! |

| Definitely pick up Sheer Heart Attack. The first four Queen discs are all essential IMO. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I have them. Wembley is pretty good, though nothing spectacular. Montreal is much better. It actually has some similarities to Live Killers, being that the two were recorded a few years apart. There are some songs on Montreal that they would drop after, like "Let Me Entertain You" and "Get Down Make Love". The set list is like a mix between Live Killers and Queen on Fire: Live at the Bowl. The sound on Montreal isn't quite as raw as Killers, though (too bad, I like Killer's sound....one of the best live albums ever). |

| Queen one of the greatest bands ever, Led Zeppelin meets David Bowie, one of the most unique bands of any era. "Queen" "Queen II" and " Sheer Heart Attack" all brillant. "Innuendo" one of the most poignant albums of rock history, Freddie Mercury knowing that he is dying and summoning up his life, expressing his life's joys (Headlong), his life's philosphy (Don't try So Hard), not afaird to take chances (Ride the Wind), and even a song for his cat, and with the song " The Show Must Go On" , bidding us farewell in a typical overtop Freddie Mercury fashion, where he declares he is never giving in and he will face it with a grin. Class act. | |

I'd say the first six, Queen - News of the World, are a must. They kinda lost me on Jazz. I do like "Fat-Bottomed Girls" though.

| After watching my DVD of the making of " Night in the Opera" I was amazed at how Queen created those songs, even more amazing is that they were able to bring alot of these studio creations to life on stage, the recording of the 'Prophet Song" was done in painstaking section by section on the guitar tracks alone, they were was even a point where Queen and producer Roy Thomas Baker had splices of tape scattered throw out the studio, and this doesnot take into account how many times Queen recorded and re-recorded their vocals for " Bohemian Rhapsody', simply an amazing band. | |

| I would say everything from Queen (debut) to A Kind Of Magic is essential (except Hot Space). Then you can skip The Miracle and buy Innuendo. |
