https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pGRO1Iyb_w Scott, I've seen this one, pretty cool. I was thinking more along the lines of a concept style video without any live scenes. Something simple like this Pantokrator video without being too cheesy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lW26QFKeAS8 | |

| I don't know. Finances would have to be there.
We actually started one of those for heart of metal. We had this idea where Robert was on an empty stage with just his amp, playing the song as roadies and the band set up the equipment around him until the band was playing live. Robert played the song in real time, but all the action around him was double time. It was sort of cool. We actually had the video done, then Steve and Sean left and the footage wasn't really usable any longer. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| You should have a concept video for Heart of Metal where it shows Uncle Sax through an entire day. From waking up until bed. I think that would epitomize the "Heart of Metal". |

| You guys are too sweet. Unfortunately, the wife is history. And no one would probably want to see 12 hours of an old longhair rubbing himself with Ben-merry and weeping softly.... Ok, that last part made me laugh. |

| Saxon & Metal Church were suggestions from people on this board. Uncle Saxon suggested "Denim & Leather". A couple people suggested Metal Church. That one worked out great and is one of my favorites on the CD.
Metallica & Megadeth were Robert's suggestions. I wasn't too thrilled with his Megadeth choice at first, but in the end, I really like what he did with that song and it worked out great. We had already been playing "Creeping Death: live for years.
Motorhead was definitely Rob's suggestion. We had actually been playing that song live for quite some time as well.
Quiet Riot was a last minute inclusion and was never even on our original list of choices. We were practicing for the album and Robert broke out with this one. Rob already knew it from playing in past bands, so we just sort of went with it. The opening few moments of that song are stinkin' heavy!
I can't remember who suggested Judas Priest's "Steeler". I think it might have been Rob or myself. We all wanted to do a Judas Priest song, it was just a matter of picking one. We thought about doing "Grinder" as well.
Twisted Sister, Mortification, Overkill and The Moshketeers were my suggestions. I had been wanting to cover a Moshketeers song for years. We have messed around with "The Myth" in the past. We also threw around the idea of doing "Life of Emptiness" or "Ye".
Mortification were a no brainer. We had two suggestions. I suggested "Gut Wrench". Rob suggested " Influence", which would have been a cool song too. Of all the Christian metal bands we had to choose from, paying homage to Steve Rowe was a neccessity. He's a good friend of ours and has always been a big influence.
As most people know, I'm a Twisted Sister fanatic, so that was an easy choice as well. I really like how this song came out. We took a mid-paced AC/DC-ish song and turned it into a speed metal song. Someone posted the song over at the Twisted Sister forum. People there didn't seem to care much for the "extreme" vocals, but the point of the song was never to sound like Dee Snider. The point was to make the song sound like an Ultimatum song, and I think we accomplished that.
Vengeance Rising was suggested because we were to be part of a Bombworks VR tribute CD. I am the one who suggested the song. Of course I already knew this song from singing with Once Dead. Rob too knew the song as he filled in on bass at a couple Once Dead practice sessions.
We worked on MSG's "Armed & Ready". Played it at practice for weeks, but it never seemed to jive, so we dropped it. I think that was Rob's suggestion as well.
Robert was really pushing for AC/DC "For those About to Rock". We never worked on it. Honestly, I wasn't too motivated for this one as I felt it was a bit out of place. It's such a signature tune for AC/DC that no matter what we did, it would never be as good as the original.
Another suggestion that Rob made that I really would have liked to have seen make the cut was "Heavy Metal Machine" by Riot. That song would have been killer.
The song that I personally am most disappointed that didn't make the cut was "Blood on the Ice" by Anvil. I pushed for that one from day one, but it never happened unfortunately.
We did not record any other songs besides the 13 on the CD. We barely had time to record those songs. We were way late for our deadline as it was, due to some odd circumstances with the band and our engineer. The album was originally suppose to be out in late April or May. Matt at Retroactive was very understanding about the delays, considering the amount of money he had rapped up in the project. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| Armed and Ready, huh? That would have been a trip! I know it would have been Ultimatumized, but I can't quite picture you singing Barden-esque.... |

So is this a no-go now? No. As far as I know they are still planning on doing this. I just don't know when. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| Does anyone have semi hi-res (at least 500x500) covers of Symphonic, Puppet and Mechanics? I am wanting to make a personal wallpaper and can't find good quality scans of those particular covers. I can get Into The Pit and Lex Metallis from the Myspace page. To compound things, my scanner bites the big one. |

What sucks is that I was using Firestream to post pictures of the band over the years. Those are all gone now! Losing that Music Vault really blows! _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!
