Metalrob, I again am listening to these cats and I can't agree with you more. They are simply superb songwriters. I see reviews all the time about bands where catchiness is considered a problem!! "This is crap, but it's damn catchy" or some nonsense like that. I look for catchiness!! To me that's a good thing. These guys - both albums - are masters at catchiness and getting songs stuck in my head.

Not only are the songs catchy there also so dark and so heavy in there own sense and what more can i say about the band so much talent with Myles singing and Mark's sick guitar solos and riffs.

I like Alter Bridge and after Creed ended I agree it was a wise decision to call the band Alter Bridge than continue with the Creed name with a new singer, and it does sound like a brand new band, Creed was ok, but Alter Bridge are great, first off I can't believe that Mark Tremonti is the same guitartist from Creed, he plays with so much passion and emotion now, Myles Kennedy incredible vocalist, and like Tremonti, that rhythm section is the same from Creed I also find this hard to believe, they hold bottom end tighter than a fish's bun hole. I can't argue with EyeSore regarding similar sounding bands on the radio, I never listen to the radio. Eyesore did make an excellent point regarding Limp Bizkit and he could have easily replaced the name with Creed. 3 Doors Down are not as heavy and their songs maybe catchy but so is the common cold. Nickleback sing with as much emotion as a bloated corpse, and Daughtery that isn't rock n roll that is show business, Flaw sound very good so thanks for turning me on to them.

I hear Myles is a front runner to join Jimmy Page on tour for some Zeppelin shows. Anyone else hear this>?

That is one of the rumors Rolling Stone magazine has offered up, the other rumor being Steven Tyler. If they do agree to do a tour with another vocalist other than Plant I am sure they will call the band something else, so far it has been rumors about the maybe vacant vocal spot.

How about Coverdale/Page II? That would be killer!
Or why not go for one of these young cats, like the dude from The Parlor Mob?

I second that Coverdale/Page suggestion, excellent album and featured some of Jimmy Page's most inspired playing in years. Why this album has gotten more acclaim is a mystery to me.

Myles Kennedy has one of the best voices in rock music and a lot of bands and musicians will tell you this. Myles has played with Jimmy on a few occasions and AB is known for there great covers of Zep songs. He has rehearsed and is ready to go if needed. This is awesome news for me as Plants voice is gone. They couldn't have picked a bteer songer imo.

He might be a good singer, but he doesn't belong playing these songs with the legends that created them. As a simple cover, no problem, let him sing them. But he doesn't fit. It's like getting Scott Weiland to front AC/DC.

I don't know i always thought Myles vocal range and sound could fit into any band. Hearing them play Zep songs live personally i think its a great fit.

Good singer or not, I think Zep wants to give the biggest bang for the buck. By getting a singer that isn't well known to front the band, a consumer may not be willing to plop down 150 bucks to see a reunited Zeppelin. Robert Plant is too important a member of the original band.

It's tempting to say how dare they without Robert....but it's good for Jimmy and John who seem damn eager to get out and play those songs live again. I think they could care less about the money, they're doing it for themselves.
How about Chris Cornell singing.....kinda like when Ian Astbury fronted the Doors not long ago.

If Plant won't do it, they need someone with an equally dynamic voice.
