After all the hype and fuss about how great Durbin fits in QR...
This band is a train wreck! You can’t replace Kevin DuBrow.

So crazy this stuff can't be made up. Time to pack it in. For real this time.

With Frankie sitting out their most recent shows, I've seen at least one venue trying to boost interest by advertising "Quiet Riot, featuring James Durbin of American Idol!" What will they do now..."QR feat. Jizzy Pearl of Love/Hate"? Like any casual ticket buyer will have any idea who that is.
I can't see this band limping on much longer. Thankfully.

There must be more going on.. You don't announce that you've quit a band and the SAME day said band announces a new singer. Would love to know the reason but don't really care either way.

So I wonder with Jizzy back in the fold if they will re-release "10" or re-record "Hollywood Cowboys" to feature some of those tracks. A couple of them were decent but had a terrible mix.

If Frankie isn't going on the road anymore, maybe they should just re-brand as "Jizzy and the Riots" and then they could play songs from all the bands Jizzy has been involved with - Love/Hate, Ratt, L.A. Guns, and Quiet Riot.
...what the Hell, get Bobby Blotzer in on drums and I'd probably go to see that.

See, that I would be interested in. Back in 2010 I saw Tracii's version of L.A. Guns, which had just reunited briefly with Jizzy. It was cool because they did a couple of songs off of Shrinking Violet, which they are obviously never going to do with Phil fronting. And they also did a version of "Blackout in a Red Room." I was glad I got to see that while it lasted. Even though I prefer the classic pairing of Phil and Tracii that is now touring, it was a cool throwback to an easily overlooked part of the band's history.
Are these asshats still going to release the album with James Durbin, or re-record the vocals with Jizzy Pearl? I may not be a fan of American Idol but at least they can market the album with Durbin, by advertising he was on American Idol once.
If I were Frontier I would just release the album, the hell with spending the money to re-record the vocals with Jizzy, the label is never going to recoup their investment on this glorified tribute band.
Maybe Frontier Records should maybe invest in a medium instead of more studio time and find out if Kevin DuBrow has been writing any songs in the afterlife, if so can he share them with these cut out bin specialist.

Has there been any word as to why Frankie isn't touring? Is it temporary?
He wrote something on social media about how he doesn't owe anyone an explanation and fans shouldn't tell him how to run Quiet Riot.

Just in case anyone still cares, Frankie B. sez the new album will still have Durbin's vocals on it, cuz redoing it "wouldn't be cost effective"at this point.
I guess that means that the CDs/vinyl are already being made, the booklets/sleeves are being printed, etc. and the process is too far along to stop for another do-over.

Frankie's waiting for Wendy Dio to call him with an offer for a Kevin DuBrow hologram tour.
He can wait til the cows come home because there’s no demand for it. DuBrow was great back in the day, but I think most people are happy to just hear him on the radio. If anyone cared, they would’ve seen him when he was alive. In comparison, a guy like Dio packed large venue concerts til the end.

Was digging this tune until the guy started singing. Maybe it is the production? But, I do not like this dudes vox at all. Maybe Jizzy [whom is AWESOME] can breathe some life into this thing.

Maybe so, I downloaded 2 songs from "10" when it was available for about 3 days and the songs were decent enough but suffered from lousy production. Jizzy sounded fine but the music was missing something in production.
I did not realize their singer was an American Idol. Weird.
I don't think Road Rage was bad per se, and these newer songs also aren't bad per se. They're not very QR-ish. They sound like a random current hair metal revival band who has recorded an EP in their garage.

Yeah, probably why I only listened to RR once. Not bad but fairly generic.

New song above "Heartbreak City" is finally streaming and it is more generic than the first single they released from this album!
