Worst cover song by a metal band?

One of my favorite covers was Ghostbusters by Xentrix

I second that. Godsmacks take on Zep's Good Times/Bad Times comes to mind. Dont mess with the classics folks.

Another that comes to mind from way back would be Ozzy covering Hendrix' Purple Haze.

I have always hated KISS' version of "God Gave Rock N Roll To You." Can't stand that song... and it sticks out like a turd on a birthday cake on the otherwise stellar REVENGE album.

Overkill's cover of the Dead Boy's Ain't Nothin' To Do is terrible. That song is one of rock n' roll's greatest songs and they just ruin it.

Mike Monroe's Demolition 23 do the best cover of that song.

Why ACDC even let them, I will never know, but it's so god awful, I even feel embarrased listening to it. Some things.....should just never be done.

Arch Enemy (I think) made a cover of The Oath by KISS. Not that good...

Cradle of Filth covering Ozzy's "Mr. Crowley" is not as bad as their usual stuff but it's not good.
