| Probably.
But I agree with Freddy; I think the fun factor of these "wacky threads" has worn off. Or maybe I'm just having a bad day.

It was amusing for a while... but now he’s FLAT out trolling us for reactions.

| So I'm actually watching a documentary on Netflix called Behind the Curve. Wish I could say it has made me a believer, but if anything it's made me really feel sorry for these people. Some are saying it's a dome, they also say the dinosaurs are all fake news. It's really pathetic, but kind of worth watching because I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. | |

Yes unfortunately it is. It had the absolute greatest ending it could have had though. *SPOILERS* They ran an experiment at the end to show proof right? Well guess what their own results showed? You guessed it, the fookin earth is a fookin sphere Lmfao!!!! The look on the guys face was worth the hour and a half I wasted watching it. I only wish they wouldn't have cut it off so soon after.

This would only be possible on a ""translating"" Earth if the universe was actualy "heliocentric" . What and the serious fuck are you talking about????? You don't see the same set of stars all year around. Every day they change position by four minutes, and over the course of the year will come and go. And I guarantee you if I measured how many degrees Sirius is off the horizon in LA, and someone else measured it from New York at the same time, it would be in a different position off the horizon.
And how is it dark now where we are, and daylight on other parts of the earth if it's flat? And keeping with astronomy, how is it the southern hemisphere has different stars than the ones in the northern hemisphere? Flat planet would all have the same set of stars. I guess that's all part of the conspiracy too right? You really can't be this naive can you? You're in your 40's?
The set of stars is >basicallly< the same through the year in a given latitude . This would never be possible on a round Earth , only if the Universe was actually "Heliocentric" . Not they are not basically the same, they change slowly by four minutes each day. What's visible right now in the night sky, will not be visible in six months. Do yourself a favor. Go learn one constellation, I would chose Orion, it's up high and bright right now if you live in the northern hemisphere. Latitude has a lot to do with it also, so where I live it's pretty high in the sky. Having just moved from Seattle, it was rather low on the horizon, so it you live up north, you might have to go out early evening to see it. Over the next month or two you'll see it's getting lower and lower, and eventually you won't be able to see it at all. Next fall, you'll start to see it again.
This worjs with whatever star or constellation you chose. It happens just like clockwork. Year in and year out. There is no deep mystery about the stars rotation, nor how they are seen having anything to do with you idiotic conspiracy about the earth being flat. Well , I live in the Southern Hemisphere . It was possible to see Orion Here on the Nighsky in January , I´ll try to find it on the nighsky again next July . Let us see what happens .

You guys are a really intelligent bunch and I assume this doesn't have to be debunked here for anyone. Well buddy , the answer would be "inertia" . HOWEVER , Inertia , on a sphere , would only cause the amount of speed of the helicopter to be constant , not the angle of the helicopter . This creates room for a lot of discussions , but "inertia" would keep the helicopter on the same height from the floor , but not the same angle .

| well , not even the height would be constant . I mean , we think about that expression : "go out on the tangent" . The amount of speed would remain constant for the helicopter in relation to the speed of Earth´s Rotation , but not it´s direction . | |

| Well I have a model for a test that can prove once and for all if the Earth is flat or not . All we need is a long rope (4 miles long) attached to an not so long elastic , the experiment to be conducted over calm sea water . | |

| The radius of Eath is taken as the same since Erathostenes . Little has changed since then , with his experiment . today , it´s """estimated""" to be aproximately 6300 kilometers .
With this is mind , for not so long distances , the fall of curvature formula is still this : 8 inches per mile X the number of miles n squared . With such measurements in mind we can conduct this experiment .
I´d call it "The Hanging of The Globe with a Rope"

Second, and most importantly, if the fucking earth is fucking flat there is no fucking southern hemisphere.

Yup, you're right, it is one of the few constellations that can be seen in both hemiSPHERES. I looked it up. Most are not visible in both. However, how can you claim to live in the southern hemiSPHERE when you say the earth is flat????
