Great album indeed!
I like Oceans of Time too, with Johnny Gioli singing. But Pell albums are pretty consistent.
I also love the debut Wild Obsession. I think there's an Axel Rudi Pell thread somewhere here.

That BR album is just OK in my book. I really like the title track and "American Jesus" but the rest is kind of meh IMO

Stranger Than Fiction is their zenith IMO. I have over half a dozen BR albums and that one is still the best/

One other note:
The Bad Religion Christmas album is absolutely stellar; a "must-have" IMO if you're into BR at all.

I like both RFH and STF but their 90s stuff does not touch their 80s stuff in my opinion, especially the first album, which is an out and out essential classic.

^^ Listened to Bad Religion's Recipe for Hate on my way to work today. Not bad, but I definitely like Stranger Than Fiction better.
I dunno how deeply I'm gonna dive into the B.R. back catalog from here - I liked'em well enough based on what little I now own, but not in that "OMIGOD I have to own every single note of music this band has ever released" kind of way.
I am kinda curious about the Christmas album that Toho mentioned a few posts back, though.

The Christmas album is great.
There is also a really good single disc BR comp called All Ages, which has about 20ish songs, spanning 81 to 92.

What I really enjoy about the Bad Religion Christmas album is that these apparent "heathens" actually sing all the verses as originally written. No substituting "he" for "God" or any of that usual BS. Whether or not they believe the theology behind the words they are singing is irrelevant IMO; they're singing the songs as originally written and that's what's important to me. Hell I never even heard some of the third verses of some of these classic carols and that's typically where these songs get really "preachy". Yet BR doesn't shy away from it; they just make the song their own without messing with the words and in my experience that's really rare.
I've said it over and over; I don't give a rat's ass about the politics, sexual orientation or anything else when it comes to music, just sing your damn songs. And thankfully BR do that on the Christmas album. And I'll even overlook the fact that they kind of snidefully tack on a remake of "American Jesus" at the end because they sing all the original lyrics of the Christmas songs before that which I've rarely heard done before in the secular rock world.
