Picked up some vinyl and cds today.
Vinyl: Keel, The Right to Rock. Had it when I was a kid, haven't listened to it since. Five bucks why not. Motorhead, No Sleep 'til Hammersmith Uriah Heep, Demons and Wizards Don McLean, American Pie
Cds: W.A.S.P., Live....In the Raw Legion of the Damned, Slaves of the Shadow Realm. Came with a DVD of live shit, should be good.

What do you think of that Peterik album?
A nice piece of AOR. However, like most albums with an all star cast, the album is inconsistent throughout. The one with Don Barnes sounds like an mid 80s/early 90s .38 Special, the one with Dennis DeYoung sounds like a Styx song, the one with Nelson sounds like a Nelson song, etc.
Of that haul, the best ones are Sabaton, Neal Morse Band, Toby Hitchcock, and Soto. The Soto one surprised me as it's heavier than a lot of the melodic hard rock stuff he's done in the past under his name. I'd call it melodic hard rock with balls and it smokes IMO!

Yes yes, I bought 38 Special hits CD - some intense love songs - and of course those boogie woogie type songs. Five bucks ! August heat car cranking.

Just preordered the new Tool CD. No vinyl option which bums me out, but I'm super stoked to hear this, album. Expensive though, comes with some sort of HD screen, sub port and digital dl card. I don't really know what it all is, I don't care, I just want new Tool lol

I ordered the new Battle Ruins 3-song cassette. Weirdly, it has not yet sold out...maybe because it's a tape, as their LPs typically sell out within hours. Anyway...Battle Ruins is the singer for Magic Circle/Stone Dagger/Battering Ram (and also hardcore bands The Rival Mob and Straight Razor). Battle Ruins is metal-ish/hardcore-ish/oi-ish, and always rules.

^^^^ lol They do sound like Tool, but I think I'll stick to the real thing. Planning on spending about $75.00 on the new Opeth album, got any suggestions there that might save me some money?

This CD blew me away upon first listen in my car - full moon - 4 am. This song grabbed me the most - like an Edgar Allan Poe story. The singer's voice is so powerful, clear, haunting and enticing !

Stopped by a local record/CD/book store today cuz they'd posted on Instagram earlier this week that they'd just bought a CD collection that featured "lots of metal." I was glad I did cuz I scored this pair:
Nuclear Assault - Game Over/The Plague 2-on-1 Motorhead - The Collection ("Greatest Hits" comp that happens to feature all four of the "new" studio tracks from the No Remorse double-album comp, therefore saving me the trouble of having to buy No Remorse on CD. Haha.)
Total spent: $15. I'm a happy camper.
