I already had the last two and the bonus tracks (released on the best of comp, Metal Is Forever) but this was $25 and Jaws Of Death itself goes for over $140 used on Amazon.

Does it really? Holy crap-a-moley. I have that CD but I had no idea it had become a collectible.

I see them on discogs for about ten bucks including shipping. Amazon has gone stupid crazy on cds lately. I rarely buy stuff there anymore without checking other sites first. Used to be automatic, never even looked elsewhere, but not anymore.

It's not Amazon; it's the sellers on Amazon using software that automatically changes the prices on items to match others out there. So if someone puts an album up there for $100, this software will for another seller change the price to $99. Problem is, usually the first guy meant to put it up for $10, not $100.
That's why you see albums up there for ridiculous prices like $1,999 and others for 1,997 and crap. Some dummy just meant to list it as $19.99. Haha.
It can work in your favor, though. A long time ago I needed an old EP from the band The Coral. Two were listed for a ridiculous price, so I added the EP to my seller account for $7.99. The next day, one of those other EPs was listed for less, so I bought it and deleted the one I added. Haha.

I keep waiting for that to become available on CD or digital download but haven't seen it yet. But that's a weird track; it's got strange, melancholic chord progressions. Is the whole thing like that?

How is that Samantha Fish cd? I've seen her stuff come up on my Amazon recommendations, but I'm hesitant. It's probably a bit sexist on my part, but I sometimes think these girls only get record contracts for the novelty of "Hey, it's a girl AND she plays the blues, if you can believe that!! Isn't that weird!?!"
And I also hold my blues players up to a very high Stevie Ray-standard. It's gotta be played with feeling over technical proficiency.

Saxon - The Vinyl Hoard (8 LP Box Set)
This..is...awesome!!! It had been on my want list for awhile and it was always around $100 or more on Ebay and Amazon. I got a text from the bay that it had dropped to $61 new and free shipping so I snatched it up, All records are gold in color and each concert is a 2 lp gatefold. The wife got me the 5 cd clamshell version for my birthday back in March. Demon records has put out some great Saxon collectibles the last few years.

She is definitely a looker, but she is a hell of a blues player, she seems to have been influenced by the bands that had a British blues bent to them such as Cream, The Rolling Stones and of course SRV, rather than the original sources like Muddy and Howlin'. That being said I enjoyed it quite a bit, part of her appeal is because she is a major babe, thankfully she is more than just a pretty face, plays with lots of feeling and attitude.

Today's my birthday so I took a much needed mental health day off from work. Visited a local music store with a box of my junk CDs to see if he'd take anything, he sez he's over stocked right now, but if I come back in a month or two he'd likely buy the whole box. So that's something I guess (shrugs).
Obviously I couldn't leave without buying something so I filled in a few outstanding gaps in the collection:
Dio - Sacred Heart and Strange Highways Scorpions - Face the Heat Van Halen - Balance
Total spent: $15, so I had no complaints.
