What SPORTS Did You Watch Today? - 2019

Watched the Packers and Bears. Neither team looked ready for the regular season.

Watching the Cardinals just have everything go wrong.  The Pirates have hit more 9 hoppers through the middle and other bloop-type hits than I've seen in one game in a long time.  Of course it's the Cardinals bullpen pitchers' fault for not actually putting batters away but good grief there have been a lot of weak contact base hits in this game.

EDIT: 9-4 final. Well that was a dismal showing especially after STL took a 4-1 lead in the 7th.

Oakland A's.. They have been excellent after a bad 1st month.

Small market team that just finds the right players to make it work.

Fun to watch, Especially after they sweep teams like the Yankee's

Watched STL beat Pittsburgh 2-0. Good thing the Cardinals had Jack Flaherty starting today because the kid Harvel who made his first major league start for the Pirates looked good. But Flaherty continued his awesome second half going 8 innings and allowing no runs on 5 hits while fanning 10.

I didn't watch that game but I saw the highlights. I never heard of that Marvel kid

Watched the Raiders beat the Broncos last night.

I barely even follow the NFL anymore since I don't really have a vested interest in any team anymore; all I'm left with are teams I hate and none I really like and that's just not fun.

Speaking of teams I hate, what's everyone's take on the Antonio Brown saga? That's one of the strangest football stories I can remember.

Well I get an Antonio Brown story here daily. And honestly, I'm not surprised he ended up in New England. Once he started making all kinds of noise out in Oakland, everyone else around here (via comments made on social media) was making the same statements. Tremendous talent (hated to see him leave the Steelers) but that guy just ain't right in the head.

Yeah that's how it seems to me too. Great talent but the guy seems to have mental issues and you usually can't fix those kinds of problems.

People around here tend to think that his antics started after that shot to the head by Burfict in the playoff game a few years ago. I'm certainly no expert in head trauma but it does seem to fit the bill. He didn't act that way before then, at least not publicly.

And I see now that Brown is being accused of rape by a former trainer.

As talented as a receiver as he is, you're right he's become a huge distraction for whoever he plays for. I'm glad the Raiders didn't keep giving in to all of that drama.

Watched the Pirates jump out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning then promptly give up 5 runs on 3 homers in the bottom half and it only got worse from there.

Final score was Maddons-17, Pirates 8.

Now watching the Brewers at Cardinals. I guess we'll have to try to handle this on our own.

Watching Pitt at Penn State.

Watched the Pirates throw batting practice to the Cubs again today.  17-8 yesterday, 14-1 today. Obviously I didn't actually watch the whole thing; I was flipping around between NCAA football games too.

Those Pirates really need to clean house from top to bottom (minus a player here and there) but alas, it won't happen. It's such a chore being a fan of that team.

Wow.  Gut-wrenching loss by the Cardinals today.

And as usual the Pirates threw BP to the Cubs again.  C'mon, 47 run in 3 three games????  That not even F'n trying!!!!

I saw that, Wow! Not too good.

Watched the Steelers lose to the Seahawks 28-26 yesterday.

Watched the Cowboys beat the Redskins, the Rams beat the Saints and the Dodgers beat the Mets yesterday.

Watched the Cardinals beat the Cubs again today 2-1. Magic number is 6.
