| Same here. And the Cardinals offense is still AWOL. You know, even if the Cardinal bats were just "meh" we'd be in these games because the starting pitching has been good. But holy crap the offense is just a total no-show.
Then again, that's pretty much been the way it's gone all season so I guess I'm not surprised. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| OK, it's over.
Ozuna: good luck in your future endeavors you hack. You SUCK!
EDIT: Holy shit, what an inning. We're toast. OK, what else is on? Good grief, I'm watching RAW. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| ^^^ Hindsight is always 20/20, but the Cards should have traded for Yelich instead. | |

No doubt! Ozuna has had some moments but by and large I'd say he was a bust. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I see that the Nats were able to eliminate the Cards. Kudos to them I guess. I never thought they would make it this far. At least they did it without that punk Harper. | |

| ALCS
I'm hoping for a Houston/Washington World Series. The pitching matchups could be amazing: Verlander/Scherzer, Cole/Strasburg, Greinke/Sanchez...
Both teams can pitch and both teams can hit; that matchup could be an epic WS. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Watching the ALCS game 5.
The Yankees jumped on Verlander in the first but now with the Yankees up 4-1 it appears to be settling into a pitcher's duel. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| ^^^ I love that the Yankees are out of it. I saw a stat saying that this is the first decade that hasn't had at least one Yankee World series appearance since the 1910s. That's incredible. | |

Sets up some potential epic pitching matchups. I really don't care who wins but I hope this WS matchup lives up to it's potential; two teams who can pitch, two teams who can field and two teams who can hit. Should be a classic World Series. And screw the fact that both coasts' favorite teams aren't in it so the ratings will probably suck; REAL baseball fans appreciate a good World Series even when their team isn't part of it. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Buckeyes!!! Yeah me too. I used to be sort of neutral on Oklahoma until about 15 years ago when our IT department reorganized and they put me next to a data analyst who was a rabidly, obnoxious Sooner fan. Even though that guy is no longer with the company and I work from home and wouldn't have to listen to him anyway, I still ALWAYS root against Oklahoma. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| World Series Game 4
This is a shocker so far. What was supposed to be a "bullpen start" for Houston has turned into the best start by a Houston pitcher in this series. This Urquiddy guy has pitched 5 scoreless innings and retired the last 9 Nats in a row.

Who saw that coming? It looks like those Astros bats have come alive. They Houston staff has kept the Nats to 3 runs over the last 3 games. After Houston took a bigger lead I turned it to the Packers and Chiefs game. | |
