What SPORTS Did You Watch Today? - 2019

The Pirates are currently in a rain delay with Giants , holding on to a 3-1 lead in the 5th.

Blues are up 1-0 after 23 seconds.

Braves and Indians. Indians are up 2 to 0 in the 2nd.

It's now 2-0 Blues nearing the end of the second period.

This is the only time I watch hockey but when I do I always find it amazing that these athletes are doing the things they're doing ON ICE!!!

This series might be over.  Jaden Schwartz just scored his third goal of the game for the Blues.

The ended up calling the Pirates game, so the final was 3-1 Pirates.

Watching Mets/Cards.

So far this game is holding true to recent Cardinal history. We tend to handle the "aces" of the game pretty well. It's Syndergard today and the Cardinals already have 3 runs. And look how often STL owns Kershaw. But start a soft-tossing, lefty rookie and we'll fan 15 times and only manage 3 hits.

Cards hung on and beat the Mets 6-4. They got all 6 runs off Syndergard so once again the Cardinals handle one of the league's supposed "best" pitchers with ease. This has been a long-standing tradition with the Cardinals; whoop up on the league's aces and do nothing against slopballing, southpaws just called up.

The Pirates ended up losing 3-2. They had a chance to tie it up in the bottom of the 9th but Kang was thrown out at home (easily) for the final out.

Watched the Braves beat up on the Indians last night.

Watching the Brewers vs Cardinals (AGAIN!!!! First time here though but good grief we will have played the Brewers 10 times in April when this series is done and then not again until August.  The people who make the schedule must live in Colorado because they had to have been high).

I just saw the Carolina Hurricanes beat the Washington Capitals 5-2 in the sixth game of the series. The series is now tied at three, with the seventh and deciding game to be played on Wednesday evening.

Watched the Cardinals complete a 3 game sweep over the Brewers today.

Hahaha...revenge is sweet. We've played Milwaukee 10 times already and despite Yelich just totally torching Cardinal pitching in the Milwaukee home games the teams are now 5-5 against each other and don't meet again until August.

I got the slumping Pirates on. They're losing 7-2 to the Diamondbacks in the 7th inning.

I can't believe the Cardinals have the best record in the NL. And that's despite Andrew Miller STILL sucking every night and Paul Goldschmidt not doing much against anyone but the Brewers.

With the win, Carolina ousted the defending Stanley Cup champions four games to three in a surprise turn of events.

For the first time since the wild card format was implemented in 2013-14, all four wild card teams advanced in the playoffs.

Well, it didn't take long for my Orioles to SPRINT to the bottom of the division. At least Chris Davis has a pulse now. How sad is this: in the shower getting ready for work yesterday I thought, "I'd be thrilled if he batted .200, with 80 walks and 30 hrs." FOR $23 million I'd be happy if he was Rob Deer!!!! Yes, it has come to this. (To be fair, at his best Deer was ahead of his time and had a few good seasons)

Watched the Cardinals beat the Red 6-3 then watched the Blues lose to Dallas 4-2.

Currently watching Milwaukee vs the Mets because...well there's nothing else on and at least I have a vested interest in this game (i.e., Milwaukee losing). Plus I'm just a baseball fan; when there's nothing else on TV I'd rather watch I'll pick a random baseball game.
