| Not interested. It sounds like sour grapes, to me.
I remember Running Wild put out a CD “20 Years of Piracy”
They re-recorded various songs. Disaster. I’m a huge fan of them too.
Clancy Brothers - did a double CD of various past songs. Disaster.
There’s a magic - involved - in the studio - something time honored -
From there - it’s a live recording of a concert.
I hate re-recordings ! | |

I hate re-recordings ! Saxon did the Heavy Metal Thunder compilation. I think that was pretty cool. Their modern sound is quite good, and it was interesting to hear them re-arrange those old songs. | |

| I usually don't mind when bands re-record songs from their early catalogue, especially when the mastering/sound quality is enhanced. | |
