Gene has said that Vinnie is his own worst enemy. Maybe he's right.

Looking at that live set he is in no shape to deliver a show. It's a shame but better than people paying good money to hear that!

I remember reading on SR a while back about Fleischman backing out. I guess he could see the train eventually plummeting over the broken bridge and into the canyon.

I have no problem with selling his stuff; my issue is with the ridiculous amounts of money he wants for these near worthless items. If he set up a website and asked normal prices for stuff (like $20-30 for individual CD's or posters and shirts) he might actually do okay. But, to ask nearly $10,000 for about 20 signed items is just delusional. And, the timing of this couldn't be worse. I get that he needs the money, but if his ego wasn't the size of Texas he could have done what Bruce Kulick did and make a nice living for himself in one of the most recognizable bands of all time. He did this to himself.

Probably a promo photo from the music video for "Love Kills," which was on the soundtrack to "Nightmare on Elm St. 4." If memory serves, Vinnie wears that outfit in the video.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well. But, it's not even cool looking. It's stupid. He's so out of touch with reality.

i stopped paying attention to him a long time ago but i did follow the shennigans when the Christmas Bash happened (then stopped paying attention to him again). Went over to the VV Forum and read posts and saw pictures. He did another one recently for Valentine's Day and all of the pictures have been deleted and videos removed. Someone there stated only 6-8 people bought tickets and the rest were Gibson employees. Don't know how true any of that is but the bottom line is that fans don't have $500 to dish out every 2 or 3 months for one of these events and that doesn't include hotels and travel money.

I have honestly never stopped "listening" to his music as I play the VVI albums (especially the 1st one) quite frequently; but, I have never really paid attention to him as he seemed to disappear from 1990 until last year. I too followed the saga and honestly felt for the guy and the situation he was in. He doesn't seem to "get it" that despite his association/ tenure with Kiss, he was never that famous. He thinks just b/c he got a warm welcome at a Kiss convention after 30 years away, he is somehow some hot commodity that can demand exorbitant prices for appearances and then bail on them. Then announce an appearance and then bail again like he is building the anticipation to a fever pitch. And when it finally happens ( the show), Vinnie and his Marcia Clark pant suit and about 5 of his "true fans/ friends" show up and he acts like he sold out the Dallas Cowboys stadium for 4 straight nights.

Not counting his lone album with Kiss ( Lick It Up) he really only has two actual solo albums as the Vinnie Vincent Invasion. Just in case you didn't know. Both are pretty good, but I prefer the first one out of sentimentality. The first one is "over the top, glammy, guitar wizadry" but I think it has some hooks and catchiness to it. The immortal Bob Rock is on drums on this one. The second is good and actually features Mark Slaughter on vox and still features guitar pyrotechnics and drums of thunder but for some reason seems a bit more serious in nature. Almost like they were trying to get a radio hit. Check 'em out on the tube and I hope you enjoy. I always do. They are definitely a fun listen.

Yeah those 2 albums from VVI are pretty good but I haven't heard them in ages because I had them on cassette.

As much as I love the Kiss albums he was involved in, I could not get into VV Invasion at all.

Even worse, the implosion of VVI begat Slaughter, one of my least favorite bands from the era. Mark Slaughter's "singing" causes me physical pain. So I hold Vinnie responsible for discovering him!
