| MANIAC (1980)
THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 2 (1986)
NIGHT OF THE DEMONS (1988)
RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD (1985)
I'd play these because not only are they some of my favorites but they're very zany, colorful movies that would evoke the Halloween mood. |

Oh yeah? I've had many people tell me they're really good. They're too expensive, so I've never bought them. They must have some sort of cult fanbase then, because the DVDs are like $24.99 around here. |

| Of course you can't forget the best Friday The 13th movies. Part 2, 6 (the best), and 7. I guess that arguement could be its own thread. |

Part 2, 6 (the best), and 7. I guess that arguement could be its own thread. Part 6 and 7 are my fave "F13" movies too, especially 6. Part 7 would've been MUCH better if they hadn't cut out all the gore scenes before its release. Ever seen the uncensored kill scenes? There's a compilation reel of them up on YouTube somewhere (don't have the link handy at the moment)... some of'em were NASTY!! Oh, another good Halloween night pick... "Trick Or Treat." Not only is it timely but it's also METAL!

| Candycane!!! That's a great movie!!
One of my favorite scenes in movie history, which I want a poster of, is when in 6-7-8 (I can't remember) Jason elbows a waitress in the face and it collapses her face in such a comical way that my buddy and I rewinded (?) that scene at least a dozen times. Priceless!!
I think Horror movies and beer commercials can be so good because they have nothing to lose....beer companies just need ot get their name out there and the commercials can be about any old nonsense, which makes them great. Horror movies - due to the supernatural, creativity, and lack of constraints most other genres have, can do just about anything and it works. Throw enough gore and I'll come!!

I guess that arguement could be its own thread. Part 5 is my favorite. Yeah, I'm in the minority on that one, I know. Part 6 is also probably my least favorite. Not including Jason X...blech. |

| C.H.U.D. is a fantastic little movie that doesn't get nearly enough props. I usually hate the idea of remakes, but if they did a remake of C.H.U.D. with a decent budget and better production values I'd be first in line to see it... "Jason X" is so bad it's good! You gotta give the film makers credit for doing something different with the Jason character at least, instead of doing yet another retread of the "Annual Camp Crystal Lake Counselor Slaughter" formula! | |

"Jason X" turns up on the Sci-Fi Channel quite often and every time I run across it while channel surfing I just have to stop and watch. It's hilarious! I remember when I rented "Jason X" and returned it to the video store the next day, the girl behind the counter asked me "Is this movie scary?" and I sez "Oh PLEEEEASE honey, these movies haven't been scary for twenty years."
