One of my all time favorite singers. His vocals on Refuge Denied is one of the greatest vocal performance of all time to me. I actually started a thread about this myself when I first heard about it because I didn't see another one on the board. I just deleted it.

This is a huge loss. Dane was one of the best modern metal vocalists out there. IMO, he should be recognized with the greats, but as Wurthless said, no one knows his name. Rest easy, Warrel, and thank you for so much great music. R.I.P.

So terrible, I love basically everything he released. I saw Nevermore just once, when they were touring for This Godless Endeavor and opening for Opeth. It was one of the best metal shows I've ever seen.

Yea, it's a real shame he wan't more well known. Outside of the hardcore metal community, he's pretty much unheard of. I'll be spinning some Nevermore this weekend for sure.
