| I'm not a huge beer fan but my wife and I had a tour of De Halve Maan brewery in Bruges, Belgium and afterwards we had this from the draft: and it was very good. I brought some home for the fellas at work to try. We had the blond which was 6% they also have a double at 7.5% and a triple at 9% that I haven't tried yet. We'll see tomorrow when the fellas come over. | |

| Had a Samuel Adams Coastal Wheat the other day and it was very good. Had a Black Lager and it was too dark and bitter for me. In my beer education, so far, I seem to like Blonde and/or Wheat the best. Haven't enjoyed Coors, Miller, or Blue Moon - Harvest Moon, Heiniken I didn't care for, either. Had a Scottish beer called Black Douglas and it was way bitter for my liking. | |

I had a Hoegaarden in Amsterdam and Leffe here in the States a couple weeks ago. Both were "not bad".

Yup, BJ's makes good beer. I think they have that strong Russian stout from time to time that kicks your butt, it's real good though. Also seasonal ones like pumpkin ale. It's nice that it's brewed right there. Good food too. Tonight I had a Sierra Nevada Hefenweisien(spelling?). Didn't know they made this kind, but it was good. Also had a Murphy's stout, not the best. And my buddy got me an India Pale Ale, but I don't know what brand, it was really good. Just the smell alone was worth it. And MB, I'm freaked out at you tarantula/squirrel hybrid

| OK, so this is kinda cool... One of the sales reps at work and I have had a running gag about one of his accounts for the past couple of weeks, it's an Indian/Pakistani restaurant and one of the menu items in their ad says "Choice of Goat." That struck us kinda funny so we've been getting way too much mileage out of that ("Is it like the lobster tank in a seafood place? Do they take you to the goat pen out back and tell you "There they are, pick the one you like?") ... so anyway, in keeping with our current "Goat Humor" theme, he visited another account today (a huge liquor warehouse) and came back with a sixer of something called "HOPPED UP 'N' HORNY" beer, made by the "HORNY GOAT" brewing company of Stevens Point, Wisconsin. After we laughed about the name for several minutes, he split the six pack in half and gave me three of them to take home and try. Awesome timing on his part, since I happen to be totally, completely, utterly out of beer at the moment. Lookin' forward to trying this stuff. How could it NOT be good with a name like that? By the way, the cardboard sixpack carrier also trumpets the Horny Goat Brewing Company's other varieties, which include "Horny Blonde Lager," "Red Vixen" and "Stacked Milk Stout." So they've definitely got a theme goin' here. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| I'll look and see if they have that at my store Freddy! Also, check your local store and see if they have this: It's brewed right next to where I live in a place called Tempe. I love going to Tempe it's a great little part of the Phoenix area. Lots of shows there too. Here's the brewery. Some of the best beer I've ever had. I think they export to all over the country, so please try it!!! | |

By the way - I'd really be curious as to what you thought about Kiltlifter Toho. I'm told it's a beer for beersnobs.

| I'd probably like it if I could find it. I generally stick with lagers and stouts but I like me some ale as long as it doesn't have the word "India" in front of it. Those are just too hoppy for me. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Me too. I don't like overtly hoppy stuff. Truth be told I like me beer as black as death. Porter is usually my first choice. This ale is just 'that' good though.

| One of my faves these days that is widely available is Sam Adams' Black Lager. I love that stuff.
Of course, we're a month away from my alltime favorite beer: Schlafley's Pumpkin Ale. Mmmmmmmmm (Homer Simpson drooling)... _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

It's OK but I generally don't like fruit flavors in my beer. Pumpkin ale being the one exception (if you consider pumpkin to be a fruit). Sam's Summer Ale is a good "I just got done cutting the lawn and I'm really sweaty and thirsty" beer.

Yeah, I did. Something about it just seemed a little "off" to me. Granted I only listened to the snippets on Amazon but something just didn't click. It's probably just me. Lately very little of the new music I've been exposed to or even bought seems to do much for me. That's why I keep digging up Toho Classics.
