Hmmm...I'd like to try that one. I've learned to avoid IPAs but APAs seem to be hit or miss.

Just picked up something called "Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale". I love the writeup on the carton.

"This is an aggressive beer. You probably won't like it. It is quite doubtful you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth. We would suggest that you stick to safer and more familiar territory - maybe something with a multi-million dollar ad campaign...Perhaps you think multi-million dollar ad campaigns make a beer taste better. Perhaps you're mouthing your words as you read this." and on and on it goes like that.

Haven't tried it yet but I will.

So I tried the Arrogant Bastard Ale. Too hoppy. Cross that one off my list.

I love Arrogant Bastard Ale. That label copy is what sold it to me when I first discovered it a few years ago.

So it's not just me. This stuff tastes like an IPA IMO.

I laugh at their carton blurb now. It's not that I can't handle it or I'm used to mass market beers; it' just that this particular beer tastes like an IPA to me and I HATE IPAs.

If I want taste I'll take a "Dragon's Milk" from New Holland Brewery every time. Now THAT'S taste!!!

Drinking another bottle of Schlafly's Holiday Ale.

Just sold 3 of the bottles I bought last week to my beer snob buddy at work. I'm now down to 4 more left. I need to save at least one until next year to see if it mellows like most high ABV beers do. Plus, if Schlafly does this again next year, I need to have some for comparison's sake so maybe I'll try to save 2 bottles.

Just drank some Foster's. Off to bed with me in a bit.

had some yuengling lager last night.
