Every time I buy a six pack, I buy a second six pack and put it in the closet in one of the guest bedrooms. Because they stop making it after Halloween, I want to see if I can keep some on hand year round. With the 8% alcohol content, I think it should keep pretty well but I'm gonna find out for sure this year. Unfortunately, none of the stores have it here, which is how I ended up with old Buffalo Bill. Yeah, I think Schlafley's is only available in the MO/IL area. How is the Buffalo Bill's? Never heard of that one. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

So close to buying the Pumpkin Ale the other day. Almost got the Hemp Ale as well, but decided to get a Pyramid variety pack of Hefenweisen/ Apricot Ale/ I.P.A./ Red Ale. Good stuff!

| Not sure how large of a distribution area this company has, but I always look forward to Great Lakes Brewery's Christmas Ale. Anyone that can get it, it a great seasonal. Not to be drunk directly from the bottle, but in a glass. And bear with me, if you roll the rim of the glass in cinnamon sugar, it brings the flavors out in the beer. Delicious! | |

| Just got a holiday surprise ... one of my co-workers hooked me up with a 6 of a very nice looking craft ale called "Eye of the Hawk"...8 percent!! Never heard of this stuff but it looks very tasty. http://www.mendobrew.com/home.html
This is why I love this time of year @ work -- all these chuckleheads try to make up for the hell they put me thru during the other 11 months of the year by getting me drunk @ Christmastime. The other day two other sales reps pooled their $$ together and got me one of those 5-liter "keg cans" of Heineken.
So I'll definitely be (hic) rockin' around the Christmas tree this weekend... _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| If anyone wants to try a great beer, here's one of the best I've ever had:
http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/870/25259
My brother told me it wasn't available in the Indiana area, so he had me pick it up (10 22oz bottles) in the Chicago area. Needless to say, it was well worth the $10 a bottle price. I'm thinking about picking more of it up on the way down to Indy the day after Christmas. Man I love BEER!!!

It's actually really good. Smells just like marijuana, without any of the effects. The pumpkin ale is good too.

| Wowsa, folks, that "Eye of the Hawk" ale that I posted about yesterday is pretty powerful stuff. Two bottles and I was pleasantly buzzed. It's a little bit on the bitter side but a pretty tasty treat. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

And yes, I am a fan of single-malt Scotch's like Glenlivet. Ummm, Glenlivet. Back to beers, I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but Chimay is really good, hits you hard if you're not careful: http://www.chimay.com/en/intro_216.php

| Chimay is great stuff. Belgian beer is by far the best in the world. They do have a knack for making dangerous stuff though (like Duvel...). | |

India Pale Ale's are the best. Free beer = good. Free beer is always good. My parents gave me an IPA from some obscure Californian brewery a couple of years ago. It was pretty damn nice.

| My bro and I killed a 30 pack of Coors and a 12 of Pabst Blue Ribbon between dinner time on Christmas Eve and dinner on Christmas Day.
Obviously large family gatherings bring out my inner alcoholic. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"
