Particuarly in the winter months, then it's back to to the old Green Grenades (Victoria Bitter) for the summer months. I didn't even know anyone drinks Melbourne Bitter! | |

| Haven't tried VB yet, though I've been in Aus for 2 months. Guess I'll get around to it at some point. Haven't tried XXXX Gold or Pure Blonde yet either....

Pure Blonde is great, although look out for Coopers Ale. Probably the best commercially available beer...........btw where are you in the country? May get myself some Pure Blonde for the weekend then!  I'm in Wagga Wagga in NSW. Pretty much 5+ hours from Melbourne and Sydney both.

|  Thought this merited inclusion in the beer thread. The campground I stayed in this past weekend (Driftstone on the Delaware in Mt. Bethel, PA.) has a small private cemetary at the edge of the property. Some of the stones are very old, going all the way back to the Revolutionary War, but a few were as recent as four or five years ago. Anyway, I had to take a pic of this guy's stone. It's kind of hard to read in the pic cuz the lettering was pretty well chewed up by the elements, but his name is "JOHN CASEBEER."

| I'm conducting an experiment. I'm stockpiling the Schlafley's Pumpkin Ale.
Every time I buy a six pack, I buy a second six pack and put it in the closet in one of the guest bedrooms. Because they stop making it after Halloween, I want to see if I can keep some on hand year round. With the 8% alcohol content, I think it should keep pretty well but I'm gonna find out for sure this year.
