| Just got a six pack of something called "Winter's Bourbon Cask Ale" from a co-worker for Xmas. The label sez it's "aged on bourbon barrel oak and vanilla beans." Sounds tasty! _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| I found the Flying Dog Sampler pack at Publix (a supermarket) yesterday. The Pale Ale and Golden Ale were good, I kinda guessed how they would taste. The India Pale Ale just about ripped a hole in my esophagus. WOW! That stuff was ultra hoppy! But my favorites from the pack were the Porter (dark and smooth) and the Wheat Ale (had a fruity taste to it). Both were very good. As a whole, I think Flying Dog is one of the best breweries I have sampled from in the States. This gives me a little hope that people in this country truly do realize that Miller Lite and Budweiser are similar to drinking goat piss. |

Glad you liked the Flying Dog stuff dude. If you haven't already, I suggest you try anything from the Sierra Nevada family next. That stuff will re-affirm your faith in American brewers even more! _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Picked up a Samuel Adams Mix Pack along with a 6 pack of my honey beer. I'm currently drinking the black lager. Not too bad but the aftertaste is starting to show through and it is a little too much for me which it didn't half way through. Yes, I know all beer has aftertaste (which is why I don't drink much of it) but some have a less stronger one than others, like JW Dundees Honey Beer . | |

| That Sam Adams Black Lager is maybe the best American beer I have had. I could be placed on an IV of that stuff and be pleased as punch. |

Well so far it is the best of the pack, the honey porter was so nasty I had to pour it out.

I'm not a huge fan of Becks. It's a bit... bleh. Another great beer is Peroni. Italian goodness - now in beer form! _________________

I got that mixed pack and I thought the Honey Porter was the best of the bunch! I just finished off the rest of a six pack of that Porter yesterday.

| I don't tend to drink a lot at home (I save it for going out - I make up for it ;p), but after today's work I felt I deserved one. Seems the only decent beer my family had in the fridge though was a Corona. Not quite European enough for me (what can I say - Eurobeers rule), but satisfying none the less. _________________ | |

| American beer tastes like utter crap! Well, the one's I have tried did. They are very thin, and just....not good! - well, I am from Europe, so I have pretty high standards Give me a Carlsberg! Or a good ol' German "Bear beer" (the blackest o f beers...I LOVE dark beers...the darker, the better!!). - And please, do not post a comment on Carlsberg, if you have not tried the original. The American tappings do not do Justice to them at all - They just taste like the same thin, metallic crap that is American beer. Sorry guys, your ale sucks - I do not remember when I first tasted beer, but I have always gotten a little sip of my fathers' beer, when I was little (just a sip, nothing more)....and I liked it! Not to try anbd sound immature or "cool", I just always liked the taste...but I guess I can't blame you Americans, if your first exposure to beer was tapped in your home-country | |

| Not all American beers suck. The stuff from the "big" brewers (Anheuser-Busch, Miller, etc.) is all pretty much crapola but the micro-brew/craft beer explosion over the past decade has produced some damn good beers here in the U.S... you just gotta know what to look for. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"
