I never liked the taste nor smell. I prefer Brandy or Rum, but I usually don't drink either. | |

| I'm touched... one of my twenty-something co-workers just asked me for beer advice. He sez he's going to a bar tonight that has "74 different taps and 100 different bottle beers" and sez he "can't just do Bud in a place like that, what's good?"
I recommended anything from the Sierra Nevada, Saranac, or Pete's Wicked families. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

it tasted like sparkling spring water with a tiny bit of alcohol in Sounds yummy. But hey, you get what you pay for. So is this "Bettabuy" also the name of the store where you bought it? The label is so generic looking that I thought maybe it was some store's cheap-o "house" brand _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

of course the bettabuy range is now called the value range Haha, nothin' wrong with drinkin' some of the cheap stuff now and again. It makes the good stuff taste so much better. I used to collect beer cans when I was in college and MAN, I drank some of the most GOD AWFUL ghetto-brew stuff just for the sake of that collection... I'd go to stores and any time I saw a can that I didn't have or some brand I'd never heard of, I'd buy one just so I could empty it and add it to my shelf. Sometimes I was pleasantly surprised by what was inside those oddball cans, but other times... _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

My college friends and I used to try to out-do each other as to who could find the cheapest, most odd ball, obscure beers. Man, we drank some swill in those days. Our favorite was this stuff called Midnight Dragon which was $1.25 for a 40 ounce bottle (most other 40-ouncers went for about two bucks at the time)... for a cash strapped college kid, that stuff was a quick cheap way to get where you wanted to go... We were also briefly obsessed with a malt liquor (beer on steroids) called "CRAZY HORSE" which was simply unreal... tasted like battery acid but one 40 ounce bottle was about the equivalent of a six pack... one of those bottles was all you needed, that stuff had a kick like a mule. Thankfully my tastes have progressed some from those days...I don't think my body could handle any of that cheap swill nowadays... if I tried, my liver would probably run screaming from my body... _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| I picked up a 6-pack of some killer stuff called "Flying Dog Doggy-Style Pale Ale" over the weekend... the name cracked me up so much that I simply HAD to try it. Their web site is pretty funny too, check it out beer lovers: http://www.flyingdogales.com/ _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

T-Roy Please stop being insolent for just one second! Milwaukee's Best (Light) is the king of third rate swill! Side Note: I actually saw Old Milwaukee being sold in a reputable store the other day. I thought that went out of production in the early 90's! |
