| I switched over to WWE RAW because the Cardinals are up 11-0 over the Marlins. They blasted former Pirate Jeff Locke for 11 runs on 11 hits and 4 walks in 2 2/3 innings. Wow, talk about your ERA taking a beating... _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Well, good thing I kept one TV on the Cardinal game because Wainwright is trying like hell to blow this game. It's now 11-6 in the 5th.

| I see the Nats pen blew another save last night. That's 14 (!) so far this year. Washington still won with a run in the bottom of the 9th though. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I can't believe Washington is going to stand pat with that pen the rest of the season. They have to be burning up the phone lines to all the other clubs to see who is available. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

No Angel, it's not because you're Cuban; it's because you suck at umpiring. I literally groan out loud anytime this idiot is announced as one of the umpires of a game I'm watching. He's consistently ranked by MLB players as one of the worst umpires in the game. And he thinks everyone is there to see him; he doesn't believe in the notion that a good umpire is one you never even realize is there. This moron is blind in one eye and can't see out of the other PLUS he's an attention whore. He makes Joe West and CB Bucknor look like good umpires. Geez he sucks. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I think Joe West is pretty decent, but CB Bucknor is probably the worse umpire in the game hands down. That douche bag Angel Hernandez is right behind him though.

As a Dodger fan I hate to, but yet I have to agree with you. I think the thing that hurts the Nats the most is that they don't have the most reliable bullpen. The Nats absolutely MUST do something about their closer situation. Their lineup can rake and their starting pitching matches up with any team's but their bullpen is ATROCIOUS.
BTW, the Dodgers are the favorite team of my 87-year old dad so I have a soft spot for them. Except for Puig; I can't stand him. Puig is dugout cancer.

No way they can stand with that pen if they're going to contend in the post-season.

| That Nat offense looks like it can withstand that lousy bullpen. But every year they seem to blow it anyway, so we'll see.
And right now I'm starting to e Watch the Pirates at Phillies. Hopefully the Bucs can right the ship with Taillon pitching.

| Lance Lynn was cruising along with a 2-0 lead in the 6th when the sky fell in. He gave up a 3 run shot then walked the next guy and was pulled and as usual the Cardinal pen stunk it up. Ended up losing 5-2 _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Oh I'll never forget him. You might get a kick out of this. Back before there was instant replay or reviews, that dipshit blew a call at the plate in what was then called Bank one ballpark, now called Chase Field. It was such a terrible call, everyone in the stadium was just letting him have it. Then they showed it on the jumbotron, (something that was a big no no back then) and the fans just let him have it for like three solid innings. Every call he made, good or bad and he got booed. The best part was they asked the video director why he allowed it to be shown on the jumbotron, and his answer was, "the rule states that we can't show close plays on the jumbotron, and that play wasn't even close" lol

If you know the name of the umpire then he sucks. You seldom recognize the names of good umpires. And I just don't rag on these guys because of Cardinal games. I'm a baseball fan first and foremost; I watch a lot of games on MLB Network between teams I don't even care about just because I enjoy the sport. But any time one of these clowns is mentioned I cringe because I'm almost guaranteed there will be a blown call or an erratic strike zone and that just ruins the game. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Watched the Pirates beat the Phillies 5-2. After a shaky 1st inning, giving up a 2 run homer, Gerrit Cole rattled down and pitched a solid game. | |

| Cards beat Miami today to gain a split of the series.
Pretty bad when splitting with the Marlins is seen as a good thing.
The kid playing first base for us, Luke Voit, looks like a monster. So far in 10 games and 27 ABs he's hitting .333 with 2 HR and 7 RBI and 6 runs scored. Today he hit a 450ft homer and a double to drive in 3 of the 4 runs. To make room for Voit the Cardinals have actually started playing Carpenter back at 2nd base where he started which doesn't bode well for Kolton Wong when he comes off the DL. I've been saying trade that guy for years anyway. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Watching the Mets at Cardinals. For some reason there are a lot of Met fans in attendance apparently. They keep doing the "futbol" singing chant and I swear at a couple points they were doing the old "E-C-Dub" chant from the heyday of ECW wrestling in New York. I mean it's great that the Mets fans travel well here but WTF? _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.
