| Yeah I'm watching Michigan State / Penn State too.
I'm rooting for Michigan State. I've never liked Penn State, even when I lived in PA I didn't like them. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Now watching Tennessee against Vanderbilt.
I love Vanderbilt. Their college radio station helped keep me sane while I was working the graveyard shift in Murfreesboro, TN. And they held a free concert on their campus every spring so I saw Jason and the Scorchers, Georgia Satellites and Swimming Pool Qs there over the years.
I also HATE Tennessee. If I NEVER hear that damn "Rocky Top" song again it will be too soon. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Bengals at Ravens. This game is pretty bad. My other option is Giants at Browns. Ugh! | |

| NFL Red Zone HAHAHAHA!!! The Rams must have left their vaunted defense back in LA. They got waxed by the Saints 49-21. I'm having much more fun rooting against them then I had rooting for them most of the time they were here. My friend at work who had the PSLs we used to go to Rams games is having even more fun. Between the PSL fees and the cost of parking and tailgating he's saved about $2,000. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Wow, those are lousy choices. I don't even know what games we were getting. I just tune in Red Zone and leave it on until the Sunday night game starts. I didn't like Red Zone as much when I had a team to root for because you don't really get a feel for the flows of any of the games but now I think it's great because I'm not stuck having to watch a game like the Giants at Browns. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Well to be fair, both of those games involved division rivals but were they lousy. I've never given that Red zone a try. Maybe next time I get some lame choices, I'll tune into that.

| Just watched the 1985 Rams/Cowboys playoff game.
This was notable as Dickerson's 248 yards day. Was a smooth, powerful runner. I'm a Marcus Allen die-hard, and his style was unique and graceful, but Dickerson had that equally unique tall, gliding stride. He also knew just when to lower the boom.

| I just saw that on the local news. My Pirates are slowly unravelling this off season. They've already lost Rodriguez and Joyce to free agency, the trade of McCutchen and Harrison are imminent, and now this with Kang. Good lord I don't know if I can deal with another downfall. I've suffered for 20 years of bad baseball. Isn't that enough? | |

| Watching various conference championship games today.
I was sorry to see Navy get clobbered by Temple. Then I saw that OK State was leading OK so I switched to that game only to see OK State lose. Then I started watching Alabama vs Florida. Wanting to send the whole championship thing into chaos I want Alabama to lose and for a little bit it looked like they might. But at halftime it's now AL-33,FL - 16.
Tonight I'll be watching the Penn State/Wisc game (don't really care who wins that one) and the Clemson/Va Tech game (I want the Hokies, again to send the BCS playoff system into total chaos) _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I guess I now know just how much I hate the Rams.
For the first time in my life I find myself rooting for the New England Patriots.
EDIT: I'm watching the local Fox Sports football pre-game show and the local pundits are saying the same thing I said above. One guy said "The Patriots are my 31st favorite team but today they're my favorite team because anyone who is playing the Rams is my favorite team." Works for me. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| In the first half the Patriots ran more plays than the Rams have yards. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Why does it seem like the Pats always get a cake walk schedule? The NFC West is horrendous this year. | |

| I've been thinking the same thing about the Rams. They've played a bunch of mediocre or worse teams this year. Detroit is OK and New England is good but other than that the Rams have been playing people like Tampa Bay, Chicago and the Jets. And of course, as you say, the NFC West is pretty bad this year with Seattle being the only decent team so those games are fairly easy too. And STILL the Rams are 4-8. And "Bad Toupee" Kroenke just gave Fisher a 2 year contract extension! Kroenke has to be one of the worst owners in any sport. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Yeah I can see your point about the Rams but the way schedules are supposed to work is a team plays other teams with similar records, but the Pats (who always have one of the top records) seem to play one of the easiest schedules percentage wise. And "Bad Toupee" ?

| Have you ever seen this a-hole? You'd think somebody with his money could afford hair replacement therapy, hair plugs or at least a decent toup. He looks like he brushed one of my cats and glued the loose fur on his head. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| On a better note, I like this "My Cause, My Cleats" thing the NFL is doing. I think they should let the players do it all the time. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.
