| I just saw this:
http://www.kmov.com/story/34033993/the-backup-is-back-in-cardinals-sign-eric-fryer-to-minor-league-deal
I was one of the Cardinal fans who was beyond pissed when we let Fryer go to Pittsburgh so we could try that fatass Pena as backup. Then two weeks later fatass was on the DL again and I got even more angry.
Glad we got Fryer back after the Pirates swiped him from us. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| On the flip side, since they couldn't cut a deal, it appears that the Pirates will be keeping McCutchen at least. The fan base was really pissed about them looking to unload him. | |

| I bet the fanbase was pissed.
But that has to be a tainted relationship now. McCutchen has been the Pirates franchise player for years and to find out that management was shopping him around after one off-year has to hurt. I saw on Hot Stove on MLB Network today that at least he went to the Pirates winter FanFest thingy and tried to put a good face on it so good on him. But you have to wonder how poisoned that well is now. I was actually kind of hoping the Cardinals would pick him up instead of Fowler.
McCutchen seems like a real class act and I think he'd be an asset to any team. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I was listening to the Fan radio morning show on my way to work this morning and they were basically saying what you just stated. There still may be a another problem brewing because the Buds are talking about moving McCutchen out of center and he's not keen on that. I'm curious to see how this will play out. | |

| I like McCutchen.
I think he's a good guy and he's been the face of the Pirates for the last several years. He seems like a guy to build a franchise around, not dump during a rebuild process. The guy just turned 30 this October so it's not like he's over the hill or anything.
Unless the Pirates know something they're not telling I don't understand why they'd try to trade him now. If this year goes like last year for him, then maybe. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Yeah those are hideous.
This game is like heresy to me. I've hated the Seahags for the past 20+ years because they were in the same division as the Rams.
BUT...now that the Kroenke decided to put his lame-ass team in LA, I root for anybody against them. It's nothing personal against the Rams players, it's all on the ownership. And if I could root for the Patriots against the Rams last week I can sure as hell root for the Seahawks this week.
Coming into this season the Patriots were my most-hated team in any sport. No longer... _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Boy are the Rams dreadful. They've actually regressed from last year. At least when Cleveland loses they generally are entertaining. The Rams lose in really dull, boring and ugly games. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I have to say that the Rams have looked awful from what little I've seen of them. They packed it in weeks ago and are looking forward to the off season. | |

| Watched a bunch of "meh" bowl games today. Now I'm watching UFC on Fox. Some interesting matchups on this card. I thought this was a PPV when I first read about it but it's actually free on Fox. In between bouts I'll switch over to the Miami/NY game and whatever "meh" bowl is going on at the time. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

So far the highlight of the day was the ovation Tom Savage received from the hometown Texans fans after Brock Osweiler was benched in the second quarter. How embarrassing that had to be for Osweiler. Oh well, he can cry all the way to the bank. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Watched LA Tech beat Navy 48-45 in the Armed Forces Bowl.
Great game, lots of offense and won by Tech on a field goal as time expired. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.
