Took the kids to the drive-in the other night and saw The Minions and Jurassic World. The Minions was a pretty cute film (the kids loved it) and Jurassic World was decent but had a been-there, done-that feel to it.

Dead Men Walk (1943)
George Zucco in a dual role of twin brothers, one good and one evil. The good brother murders the evil one in self defense (he claims). The evil one ,assisted by his Renfield like assistant (Dwight Frye playing against type!), returns as a vampire. One of the better filmsd inth e Box set highlighted by an unexpected ending, considering the time of the film.

Terminator Genisys - complete dumpster fire of a film. I had read the terrible reviews but I wanted to experience the awfulness myself. Yep, it was awful.

"Ghoulies II" (1988)
After hitching a ride on a traveling carnival truck, the evil little critters take up residence in a run down fun house, which provides plenty of willing victims. Low-budget schlocky fun that's better than the original "Ghoulies" but that's not really saying much. W.A.S.P. provides the end credit song, "Scream Until You Like It."

The Woman
Really strange little "horror" film from Lucky McKee.

Appears to be a sequel to a movie called Offsrping (according to Wikipedia).

Did you like that ? I thought it was rather mundane. Great visuals, so-so story (basically a remake of the first two movies).

With the young'ins last night:
"Despicable Me 2" (2013)
The now-reformed "Gru" is recruited by a top-secret spy organization to uncover the identity of a new super-villain who, naturally, has plans to take over the world. Much Minion-fueled mayhem and destruction ensues in this sequel to the 2010 family hit. Funny stuff.

More WKRP last night, including the famous "turkey drop" episode which I thought was the funniest thing ever when I first saw it at age 8.

Finished "The Woman" last night. Wow does it go nuts with the gore at the end. And the ending is "different".
Next up is "Frontier(s)". Then American Sniper.
