I'm not sure if this belong here or in the sports thread (it depends on your interpretation) but during the rain delay of tonight's Chisox/Cardinals game I've been watching:
Bloodbath: Wrestling's Bloodiest Cage Matches
It's really interesting to hear Gorilla Monsoon and Vince McMahon doing commentary on some of these.

Been catching up on a few movies from the Horror Box Set
The Screaming Skull (1958) - newlyweds arrive at the home of the husband's deceased first wife. Strange events lead the new wife to think she's going insane.Meh, so-so film.
The Beast Of Yucca Flats (1961) - a defecting Russian scientist is chased onto an a-bomb testing site right as a test is being conducted, just like the Hulk. But instead of turning into a green behemoth with incredible strength. He gets some radiation burns and becomes mentally challenged. One of the worst films I 've ever seen.
The Terror (1963) - the first color movie on the box set, starring Jack Nicholson and Boris Karloff (what a pairing). Nicholson plays a lost Napoleonic soldier who pursues a mysterious woman to the castle of an elderly Baron (Karloff). Actually a pretty good film.
Revolt Of The Zombies (1936) - a loose sequel to White Zombie, an expedition is sent to Cambodia to find and destroy an ancient formula that turns men into zombies. Of course, one of the members decides to use that formula for his own needs. This one was not that good.

My mom and I finished Fringe. Now on to the show that stated paved the way for shows like that:
When this show first came out, my dad and I would watch it religiously. Now I get to watch it with my mom. Good timing because next year there will be a new mini-series with the original cast. Funny tidbit, Seth Green actually had an appearance in the second episode.

The Third Man (1949, UK - newly restored 2015)
A movie I've seen several times in my life but never in the theater and never this high quality of a print. This is one of the most stunning B&W films to begin with and that's even more evident now that is has been painstakingly restored. Theater was nearly packed for the 2:30 matinee, I love seeing classic films in the theater with an audience.

I wish the Tower Theater would show films like this more often. The last time they did, it was for their anniversary...... They showed Algiers. Excellent movie!!!!

"Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II" (1987)
Just before the Senior Prom, a teenybopper is possessed by the vengeful spirit of the 1957 prom queen, who died tragically during her coronation - and who still wants her crown. This delightfully sleazy, gory Canadian horror cheapie borrows heavily from "Carrie" and "A Nightmare on Elm Street" - ("Mary Lou" would be the perfect girl for Freddy Krueger) - but making the bad guy a bad girl is a unique twist that makes this the only "Prom Night" flick worth watching.

Young Frankenstein (1974)
One of the funniest movies of all-time, a comedic masterpiece. First saw this film in 1977 and I've probably seen it more than 20 times over the years.
