If I'm not mistaken, 'Christine' was probably the first Steven King movie adaptation I had seen, which turned me onto his books and other movies.
I started with the 'Salem's Lot mini-series in 1979. Scared the crap out of me...so much that I immediately went to the library and checked out the book. Then I snuck into the theater and saw The Shining a year later and from that point I was a King junkie.

"3 Days of the Condor" (1975)
An old school political/spy thriller, with Robert Redford as a CIA researcher who unwittingly uncovers a secret plot within the "agency," which makes him a target for elimination.

From the horror box set
One Body Too Many (1944) An insurance salesman (Jack Haley-forever known as the Tin Man from Wizard Of Oz) arrives at a creepy mansion and gets caught up in shenanigans with the recently deceased owner of the mansion's heirs. A typical haunted house movie of the era (complete with secret passages and the like) that was surprisingly enjoyable.

Fringe My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic Jurassic Park
Even in an animated Marvel movie, Stan Lee shows up (post-credit scene). In voice and character likeness of course. Cute animated movie. Been a while since I watched one of these.

"Alien Resurrection" (1997)
200 years after her "death" in "Alien 3," Ellen Ripley lives again - as a clone produced by some space-station scientists with nefarious plans for the Alien embryo they've taken from her body. Naturally, things soon go horribly wrong and Ripley and her new space-pirate friends (who include Ron "Hellboy" Perlman, Michael "Bad Guy From The Crow" Wincott and Winona "hilariously mis-cast" Ryder) must stop the now-infested station from reaching Earth. Â I saw this once before when it first hit video in the late 90s and didn't remember much about it at all aside from a vague feeling that I didn't like it much. This time out I'd say it's better than I remembered, it's nowhere near as good as the first two "Alien" flicks but it's a definite improvement over the disappointing "3."

Blue Ruin - A
Impressive indie, a slow-burn revenge tale with solid direction, realistic violence, and something you don't see every day--sparse, minimal dialogue. The reveals in this movie come in small doses, and the final scene had my heart pounding so hard I kind of wanted to shut it off. Second film for the director (apparently his first, a horror-comedy, received a lot of praise); a follow-up is supposed to be released later this year. Dude has chops for sure. Streaming on Netflix.

"Batman: Assault on Arkham" (2014)
In this ultra-violent new DC Animated Universe flick, a shadowy government agency recruits a group of villains - dubbed "The Suicide Squad" - to break into Arkham Asylum and steal property belonging to The Riddler. Naturally he doesn't take kindly to that idea. The Joker makes things worse when he sees his former sidekick Harley Quinn in the Squad and decides to get in on the action too. Eventually a visit from the Dark Knight is required to clean up the mess. Nicely animated as usual with an impressive voice cast, this is not a cartoon for the kiddies.

A couple from the Horror box set:
White Zombie (1932) - set in Haiti, a man enlists the local voodoo master (Bela Lugosi) to "zombify" his love interest who is betrothed to another. I believe this may be the first ever zombie film and I found it rather entertaining.
Attack Of The Giant Leeches (1959) - a typical 50s horror movie about "embiggened" creatures caused by radiation (at least it's surmised). Rather mundane film enlivened by the extremely sexy Yvette Vickers.

"Johnny Dangerously" (1984)
Michael Keaton stars in this "Airplane!"-esque slapstick send up of '30s gangster movies, as a nice-guy hood who rises to the top of the New York rackets. Lots of silly, endlessly quotable fun with a great cast incl. Peter Boyle, Joe Piscopo, Maureen Stapleton and a smokin' hot Marilu Henner.

Love Johnny Dangerously, seen it countless times over the years. Also one of those "New York" films that was in reality entirely shot on the Fox Studios backlot in Los Angeles.
