New Motorhead - Bad Magic - Out in August

It's a great big joyous noisy racket!!

I love it!  

Damn. I so want it but It is going to be a few more weeks before I get it.

It's pretty good, I listened to it yesterday. It's not as strong as Aftershock overall but it's a perfectly acceptable Motorhead album. Lemmy sounds considerably weaker than he did just a few years ago on Aftershock, but the personality is still there. The production is really dark and meaty, not what I expected but it gives it a distinct flavor.

Tracks I liked the best after one listen: Victory or Die, Shoot Out All Your Lights, The Devil (love Brian May's guitar solo) and Electricity.

I think I might get this on cassette  ...how, you might ask..glad you asked...it will be released as part of national cassette day on oct. 17...

That format needs to go away forever. National Cassette Day? F**k right off. I ain't too keen on vegans either for that matter.



As for the Motorhead album, I'm really taken in by the guitar solo on 'Till the End'. While I've always enjoyed Phil's playing, I never gave too much thought to his solos. Maybe they fly by too fast. But the solo on 'Till the End' is very...heartfelt? Passionate? It really grabs me for some reason.
